You're about a 'lemme drink they're blood' away from it. And if 'they' are Gallente, I'm not even sure you haven't done that.

From social repercussions? I've found over the years that only the capsuleer pretenders tend to worry about being ostracized, since they know they will lose the taste for it in a few years and have to go back to whatever they were doing before they jumped on the bandwagon. Just check the rosters of all the Imperial-aligned capsuleer groups who take in "ex" Sabik with a few sprinkles of forgiveness and "mea culplas" from the offenders.

For the lifers though, I imagine nothing has changed. it's not as if we can take a stroll on Amarr Prime or be physically present outside of CONCORD controlled station areas in any Imperial territory without, well, painful things happening.

Capsuleer ridicule for half-assed Sani converts crowing from station interiors should always be met with appropriate derision, however.

It just seems interesting that you time your return now, to when every other Capsuleer seems to be espousing some form of Sani doctrine, rather than when it's a quiet subject mostly ignored. Wishing to ride the wave of popularity, or too offended to sit quietly and see it done badly?

Just a few replies:

Flavor-of-the-month capsuleer pledges of loyalty and proclamations of faith are nothing new, for example look up some of the old IGS records when Dear Sansha was tut-tutting about Empire space...you'd think half the cluster's capsuleers had pledged their undying loyalty. I don't see nearly as much flying those banners now.

In any case Faith is rarely a 'quiet' subject for True Amarr.

And to your questions: no and no.

My business and plans are my own for the moment, although I'm working towards making it the business of a few specific people soon, don't worry! *smiles*

Faith is certainly something you'll have to take up with others. If your business involves chocolate, attending parties or an urgent need to locate things, I might be able to help you, otherwise good luck with your blood things.

"I've an urgent need to find that Chocolate Party, Cardinal.", he said to me in the rainy alleyway. "The threat cannot be understated."

I pulled from my pipe, raised my face to the sky, and nodded, acknowledging that painful secret.

"Yes. I might know...someone..."

Are you, though? Cowering away in J-space, utterly irrelevant to the concerns of pretty much everyone everywhere... you're only 'here' in the most nominal of ways. What little relevance you have stems only from being a capsuleer—any capsuleer. As a Sansha loyalist... you don't even generate the level of interest and reaction that his baseliner slaves do... and they just inspire people to come running to kill them because it's good money.

And really, being all dramatic and faux-threatening with the 'we are always here' stuff? Not really working for you. Nobody running incursions does it because they're trying to save civilians. Nobody does it because the master you pledge yourself to is at all worrisome. They do it because you're a bunch of loot-pinatas. CONCORD makes it profitable to shoot Nation ships, so Nation ships get shot, no different from Guristas or Blood Raiders. Heck, most of the time when an incursion happens in Delve, we intentionally let it run for a few extra days just to get the better payday.

Money on the hoof, that's all you are.

That is fair. I'm no stranger to low opinions on that front.

Uh ... Ms. Ju'wien? Leaving aside the irony of someone loyal to Sansha insulting someone by calling them a cog in a machine, are you really a Sansha loyalist?

Most of the ones I've met haven't been quite ...

They typically seem to be more the disenchanted idealist "utopia at all cost" sort.

Is there a pause setting on Sansha integrated units?

Yup. That's totally it.

Yeah, you activate it by having half a dozen incursion runners blow up a few hundred of their ships, destroy a supercarrier, and then wake up long enough to warp home.

I am loyal only to her through existence... and the void. She is loyal to her friends and no-one else. These petty allegiances are inconsequential to us. She barely even knows her once infamous capabilities and plays at being god.

Dearest Aria, you won't remember me, but you'll remember her, the inquisitive one, the annoyingly cheerful one. She, you know, deep in your darkest memories...

That seems to be the case, yeah.

It's the result of someone hacking my infomorph in storage and digitally corrupting a lot of it, so it's not like I just hit my head or something. Practical skills and intellectual knowledge survived; pretty much nothing else did.

So, yeah. I'm not really her, as such.
