I think you are onto something. Had the same issues as you. I updated my sound drivers and things are better.

Come on CCP ... fix this.

So here is my suggestion - try turning off your sound in the menu then post here if you agree that I am onto something. While I can do without sound, to me it is another layer of immersion.

Edit: One last thing, all of my testing was done with graphics optimised for performance - so pretty crappy looking ships, but one problem at a time though!

Phonze out. CoolCool

Its not a perfect solution. I still have random system lockups when running eve. But at least I can still make that dank isk and killmails.

new memory optimisation is a problem.
when client is minimized FPS in it comes for a 1000, and drops to 15-30 when client is resumed, this bugy operation causes a perfomence drop on other clients.
So nothing we can do until CCP will fix it

I think problem is solvedShocked

6 clients and 60 fps in main screen

Same issue here, tried clearing cache and re-installing drivers (again). Managed to use two accounts ok after that, when trying a 3rd one it all goes downhill. Frame rate drops on passive client to the point of freeze or crash, it does recover if I press the windows key or select the eve client in question. Very temperamental to be honest.

CCP, can you please acknowledge this as a problem and when we can expect a fix? I've had this for a few days now.

Hi.

Similar issue.

Nothing so severe. Just, when I open a menu (like the cog option in a chat window, or the Industry menu), my mouse will suddenly start to lag. o_o

Game continues to run normally.

There is another suggestion that appears to be resolving the lag issue and the issue with launching more then one client. But seems to only relate to Players with Windows 10 and have the creators update.

* Open Windows Settings.
* Click on Gaming
* Click on Game mode tab.
* Turn off Game mode.

With regards,

I reinstalled on a not-SSD and everything seems to be working fine now.

Not sure if coincidence.

That is, I -had- deleted everything and reinstalled it onto the SSD. Being that I was frustrated more than usual with it today, I unstalled everything (including the SharedCaches), and reinstalled on my regular HDD.

No driver updates or nothing. Works fine now.

I've tried a lot of the recommendations in this thread and nothing works.

My EVE client freezes from time to time and when i hit the Windows Start key the EVE client unfreezes.

I've tried the following:

1) Disabled Mumble overlay
2) Disabled Windows Game Mode
3) Disabled Windows Game Bar
4) Disabled Eve Audio
5) Deleted Eve Shared Cache and Logs folders
6) Add EVE folders to Windows Defender exclusion list.
7) Installed the realtek audio drivers
8) Created a new Profile in Eve by clicking the gears icon in Eve Launcher

Any other suggestions?
