CCP,

Do you realize that trying to buy plex is now a pain in the a$$. you cant even tell is the amount is a good value or not. Was this intended? if I am wrong tell me how? I want to use in game isk to buy it.

It is a bit confusing now, but its like this 500 plex = 30 days game time = to 1 plex before, so plex is selling for X in station take 500 and divided by the selling price, it should be somewhere in the 2 million and change per 1 unit of plex, in other words the price of a single plex before (1.3 billion), or what ever it was divided it by 500, if it is fair then buy.

So now your plex if say its (example), 2.6 million per unit X 500 = billion and change

How much each unit should be fairly priced...that's what the eve market does, I personally wouldn't pay more then 2.3 mil per unit...but thats me.

What is "confusing" about it?

500 * price x = price for 30 days.....around 1.2 billion.....

WHY is this a problem for some people?

Next time people ask "how do i breath" and if there's no answer they die....

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I agree. But not really for the reason you stated.

For me it's having to buy a few here and a few there and then having no way to properly consolidate it, due to CCP introducing it in a broken state.

So I don't like the change, but whatever. What was the point of splitting up the PLEX though if you have to buy in increments of 30 days? I thought it was kind of a neat idea of being able to buy smaller increments of game time, although thinking it through a bit now I can see a lot of reasons why they maybe wouldn't want to do that.

Hear me out though, anyone ever see that movie with Justin Timberlake called In Time? Call it emergent gameplay where you grind isk for your very right to be a god among the stars (your pilots license).

1.35 billion seems an insurmountable sum but a single day of game time by comparison could be a mere 45 million isk.

You don't have to buy PLEX in increments of 30 days.

In game you can buy as little as 1 PLEX at a time for ISK if you want. Out of game, CCP are selling 110 PLEX for $4.99.

You can use that PLEX to purchase items in the NES.

You just can't activat game time less than 30 days (500 PLEX) and CCP have never stated that as a reason for breaking PLEX into smaller units, though I suspect it's only a matter of tI e before something like that appears.

30 days subscription worth of plex costs a lot more now than before the patch. A month or two ago it was around 1.05b. Now it's nearly 1.4b

Awesome, just awesome...

Yeah and 3 months before that it was 1.25b.

Plex prices just crashed in december and have been returning to the old trend for months now.

What makes me laugh with their 500 plex deal is the BS pretence that the base amount is 440 and you're getting 60 extra for free. Does anyone with an IQ above potato actually believe that?

1 old PLEX = 500 new PLEX = $19.95 = 30 days game time. That price has been stable as long as I have been playing the game with occasional promotions and volume discounts.

The exchange rate between ISK and PLEX is determined by players on the in-game market - always has been. If you don't like the price, there is no law forcing you to buy it. If enough players agree with you, the price will fall.

Eve has an aging player base. More people earning enough in game to PLEX their subscription than buying PLEX from CCP and selling it for ISK to finance in game projects. As long as this trend continues, the price of PLEX will continue to rise.

Its just an old, known trick when you say to a client you give him something extra, when its just an ordinary potato sack full of potatoes and there is no place for something extra. It makes some people feel that they are getting more for less.

It's insulting to the playerbase, to be honest.

People already got used to such things. You have it everywhere. The perfect example is air tickets: it have complex price which consists of ticket price itself plus some additional 'taxes'. And a lot of people actually happy to get 'free ticket' knowing that they will pay these taxes anyway. Think about it and if you see nothing wrong then welcome to new beautiful world of ADs and consumers!
