Because eve is a sandbox game where players make the content.

Corps/alliance's all over eve have always had blues and worked together when needed, with the addition of citadels and seeing Nullsec bring insane fleet numbers to HS (or even some large HS fleets forming up popping them) the only way to come close to combating that is to work together with others.

why does a 5000 man alliance need to make coalitions with other many 1000 man alliance's?
I guess building up relations and empires for others to burn down is just part of eve... is my honest answer.

I don't know. I think there is a rather small differance tbh. Typically smewhere in the vacinity of a 50-500mil fee and the likely hood of keeping your ship. Both are typcally non consentual Highsec PvP. Both fairly well rely on catching people unaware. To get a decent kill Both typically rely on scouting, co-ordination and proper exectution to land the kill. Seem pretty similar to me. Also Both have potential to create great stories Blink

Well it is obvious that you can't grasp the difference.

1. First and foremost you do not obey the rules imposed by CCP. You just game the system by stopping CONCORD in the nearby systems, docking and undocking flagged alts to delay CONCORD response etc. Meanwhile we mercs use the CCP wardec system and we pay to shoot our targets.

2. You do not fly ships, you fly garbage cans and benefit from the insurance system, which in your case should not even be available. Meanwhile we fly 1.5-3.5 bil ships and we risk losing those to our wardecced targets.

3. Your operations are set up by clusters of meaningless alts. Meanwhile we mercs use proper characters and we form a group of people.

4. You do not function as a merc group you function as groups of copycat thugs popping people who cannot retaliate against you. Meanwhile our wars can turn against us.


Eventually your operation will cease to exist. Meanwhile merc groups will always be there.
