Alpha 30 day plex

So, I'm a bit unclear (obtuse), about the plex vault, if I plex an Alpha account for 30 days $4.99 will this give me the use of my Alpha clone for 30 days AND still use my omega at the same time, so say I use the alpha to clean up missions or haul, etc, like that?

Nope. You need the 500 PLEX pack to get 30 days of Omega time. Thats 20 $ / €.

CCP's PLEX ad in the launcher looks like a Jita scammer ad. No wonder ppl are confused.
Then again, making people think they get more for their money was proably the reason for this change.

Thats a negative. You need 500 plex in order to get 30 days of game time. The 4.99 package is only 110 plex. 110 Plex is roughly the cost of some items in the NES store.

Ok got it, $4.99 gets you nada game time only store cash for items.

30 days of game time will move your account to an OMEGA state, but it requires 500 plex in order for you to get that 30 days of game time. 500 plex is 19.99 US$ . That is the only game time conversion available. 500 plex = 30 days game time and Omega State.

You can not plex an account for $4.99.

Got it, in my re-yard state I didn't make the conversion, thought 4.99 got you 500 plex cred, got it...looks at mirror applies to goonswarm and sends millions in application fees.

My bad I wasn't sure what the 4.99 was about, but plexing an account means you had enough to get the 30 days.

Am I correct in thinking plex is no longer equal to a game time card, plex is a unit of currency which a game time card can be bought.

Why didn't they just use ISK and get rid of plex entirely ?

Plex are tokens purchased with $, isk is not. That is why. 500 plex now = 30 days of game time. They should have just gave it a new name though because PLEX no longer works to describe 1 unit of plex since you now need 500 of them to accomplish what 1 used to accomplish.

Yeah I get it they want plex to be an item that can be bought at a rate set by CCP with real money but that became a problem when they decided they wanted other things to be available in that way.

It's quite funny really, I bet ancient civilizations had similar problems, I wonder how much a Mesopotamian shekel is worth these days.

If CCP is so hellbent on being a F2P game like other mainstream, they should have some decency and give up 24 hour Omega blocks.

I mean I can buy 24 hour VIP for Warthunder, why not EVE.

Took me a meager 10 seconds to come up with a dozen ways to abuse the **** out of this.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.
