Some years ago, I would check each day a site called "ICanHazCheezburger" for funny captioned pictures of (mostly) cats, so I could start the day with a smile. Today I just reminded the site, googled it and... jeez. It's gone. I mean, it still exists, but it's been transformed into some sort of commercial nightmare, very different from the site I enjoyed. The funny captioned pics are completely secondary in a chaos of clickbaits, associated sites, branded merchandise, 3rd aprty adverts.... nothing like the simple, to-the-point, upload-pic-and-caption-it funny site I enjoyed some years ago.

Life is full of surprises... *sigh*
