Hello, It has come to my attention that eve's character creation is mostly white or mixed skins but the only race were a player can create an African person is Minmatar in the brutor bloodline. Minmatar is a former slave race (just a note). I feel that eve should make character creation more free by adding darker skin tones and African hair styles. I feel that some people in eve want to make their character look like themselves but don't want to be a minmatar race. I think that if they just update all the races to have darker skin tones and African hair it would solve the problem (so they don't even have to come up with a new story and bloodlines). I truly feel this could be great for eve.

clearly you didn't look all that hard, since every bloodlines has access to the same skin tone pallet. (although on some the darker tones are more obvious than on others.)
and both minmatar and gallente have access to the same "african" hair styles. which makes sense since an amarrian would never be caught dead wearing a minmatar hair style, and caldari are too entrenched in their own culture to accept any form of outside influence.

you want to talk about a real travesty, how about the lack of proper facial hair options. how am I supposed to create an avatar that accurately reflects me without being able to duplicate my majestic neckbeard!
the best they got is the piddly little drunken vacation scruff.

hell i'd even be okay with it clipping through some of the more awkward shaped clothing items, I'd gladly trade some clothing options for a proper beard.

Some do, for sure. Not many though.

Looking through the forums or any busy system, it seems that what most people want is characters with monster boobs, Botox lips and heavy makeup.

In any case, character modeling went the way of the Dodo when WIS scrapped. You'll not see any development on it in the foreseeable future.

Lets not forget facial hair isn't actually rendered, but painted on texture on so there's no volume and it's not affected by ambient light. So in my case you'll notice my hair is blond almost (because of ambient light color) but my beard remains white. And is invisible on the shadowed side of my face because it isn't affected by light.
Beard and hair color when set to the same color, should gasp be the same color.

We are all from Africa so what's the issue, sounds like you want to identify with one race over another. White or black actors play Orthello. CCP have set the stage because it is their story. We are just players filling their characters.

Want to make up a story or game you can have as many black characters you like. Till then this is CCP's stage.

If you are of a particular race, you will have a particular skin tone. For instance (if speaking of Earthlings) the Negro race is black, the Caucasian race is white. My point is, you say "only race where a player can create African person is Minmatar." With respect to Earth, it's like saying "only race where a player can create African person is Negro." I don't get the point. If the Minmatar race is the Negro race with the dark skin tones... then what's the issue?

As a complete aside, I'd appreciate it if you don't attempt to pollute my Amarrian bloodline with the characteristics of... let's be polite and say 'other' races.

Those bastards did import Briton slaves. We want reparations, and we want them now. Those Vikings just don't care what happened.

Nine decades, Nine centuries - they just don't care.

Well those London bankers came close, they care.

Just a side note.

The Irish Claddagh ring was created by an Irish jeweller captured by African pirates and sold into slavery in North Africa.

He celebrated his freedom and return to Ireland with the ring. He did not ask for reparations from the Barberry Coast Pirates, he just got on with his life.

No hand outs, no reparations, no whining ....

just got on with his life.

I wear the ring daily, but I don't dwell on his enslavement, just how beautiful the ring looks.
