So I have finished going over all of the patch notes and changes that are coming and generally feel fairly down now over all.

Some changes make sense, like Super area of effect modules gaining a sensible activation time ect.

But some things are going into the dumpster that unfortunately impact me fairly heavily, fighters will now be priority targets for rats which means the entirety of a nullsec site will now target them first. And as a result alpha several fighters for all Carrier's save for the Thanatos. The increase sig radius is another major factor in the vulnerability of fighters.

I can see fairly clearly that ratting Carrier's will become a false economy in comparison to fighter loss per site.

Rorq's as stated are being nerfed essentially to a pointless state, it now makes more sense to have two hulks in a belt. And maybe if you really don't want to have a Orca in the belt then a Rorq to give them boosts while mining. Unfortunately I will not be expanding my active character numbers.

.....

So why am I down?

Essentially Carrier ratting and recently Rorq mining has funded the game for me, it allows me to spend an hour or two now and then doing some dull PvE activity to fund PvP. Which consumes isk at a rapid rate.

After these nerfs I will be left probably with the option of going back to Ishtar ratting or using a Marauder which will probably equal 1/4 of the isk gains of my previous tasks. The Rorq nerf will essentially put a hold on my industry in its entirety, I will unfortunately have to close shop as I cannot handle having to buy the ore, or run enough accounts to gain the Ore required to run it profitably.

So as such, with the new baby in my life taking up time and not really being able to play EvE for the time span it will now take to be able to fund activities I find fun within the game post nerf, I will be liquidating my assets and moving my characters back to highsec, to once more go into hiatus.

I will still knock about on the LAGL post now and then probably, but far as paying and playing EvE goes it will no longer be possible.

Get a Vindicator. It's amazing when it comes to ratting, although you have to be fairly active while doing it.

Eh, a shield tanked Vindi can net you 150-200m isk/h, provided you're I. Serp/Guri space. Don't tell the nullsec chobocops that keep whining about incursion payouts. You also have to be pretty on the ball while using the Vindi too, a lot of people that defer to carrier ratt i ng atm simply can't do it.

Haven, one of the new maps on the PTR, is freaking amazing. Looking forward to seeing it on the live servers soon.

Well, it's not that North is a bad map, but seeing lemmings getting slaughtered moving from A to B while sunk ships make a pile around B in enemy hands gets on the nerves.

Also I am starting to think that British cruisers are ludicrous. I don't mean OP, they just make the game silly and boring because 90% of ships (let alone the idiots in command of them) can't deal with smoke, so you end up with a bunch of perpetual clouds of fire barrage and no effective counter. The only way it could get any sillier would be with submarines...

The smoke meta is complete and utter garbage. Don't try to play ranked. Rank 5 and up, it's 3-4 Belfasts per team for the most part, because the only real counter to a Belfast is another Belfast. I find it extra sad because without the Belfast, T7 might actually be entertaining - amongst BBs and DDs, there's a lot of valid choice.

Morning, everyone.

I may or may not really want to get to 100,000 likes before the forums shuts down.

Every like is sacred.
Every like is good.
Every like is needed
In LAGL neighborhood.

Every like is sacred.
Every like is great.
If a like is wasted,
LAGL gets quite iraaaaaate!

Maybe they could make so secondaries can see through smoke, so standing there in a cloud was a moderately dangerous proposition for lone ships. Now it's ludicrous to see Fijis and Edinburghs smoking, running, smoking again, and nobody can be arsed to fire at them while they're on the open. As for "hydro" or "radar", the average CA commander doesn't haves a clue on what they are. Usally I'm shocked to see a DD becoming visible because someone other than me is chasing it with the hydro...

The only non-radar or non-hydro soft-counter to smoke is blind firing into it. I can't tell you how many potato DDs I used to kill in my Blyskawica by torping their smoke. Shiratsuyu is amazing at it, torpedo reload consumable gives you a nice spread of 16 torpedoes to throw into the clouds of smoke everywhere.

Shocked

A shield tanked Vindicator huh ? And it has to be in Serpentis or Guristas space ?

Also what do you mean when you say you pretty much have to be on the ball with it ? Do you have a fit up for it ?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I don't have access to my computer right now, but it's basically blasters, geckoes, high kinetic resist, xtype xlsb, 4magstabs, dcu, 2dda, melt anoms. Being on the ball means, that unlike carriers where you launch drones and have overbearing tankability, if you screw up, you lose your ship. Also, in case you get dropped, you fold like a wet napkin.

Actually Perejil was inhabited by a herd of goats and was being visited regularly by a Moroccan shepherd. So you can imagine what happened when the 2002 incident was settled... yes.... the Spanish army transported some of the goats to mainland Morocco, but only the ones which the shepherd could claim ownership on. Lol

Now Perejill is still merrily settled by untamed goats, feeding on the bushes and, probably, parsley (since "Isla Perejil" means literally "Parsley Island". The moroccan name for it is "goat island" since goats have always been around there and nobody knows whether there's still parsley in the island or not).
