Hello LAGLeers, I watched "The Great Wall" tonight, the latest Matt Damon film, and as could be expected it delivered solid entertainment. I have to give it to the guy, Matt Damon is an excellent film maker and picks his projects well.

The film set in ancient China is just epic enough to keep your eyes on the screen without going overboard with it's scale. You still can connect with the leading characters even in the midst of a titanic conflict. That is due in no small part to a really good job of casting and the actors, both leading and supporting, all doing very well in their adequately written roles.

This one is worth the price of admission and presents a colorful cinematic treat for the eyes. A big thumbs up to the director of photography, director, production/scenic designer, costumers, and armorers. This team had all their creative juices flowing and it results in some absolutely stunningly beautiful scenes and fascinating gadgets appearing on screen.

I hope the film does well enough for this production/ post production team to create another film together, because they got mad skills!

I dont really care about my real job either, I would rather do something EVE themed for myself while sitting in the job to be honest. I also post from workplace, sometimes spending hours on forums.

Some of the colegues yesterday were frying steaks and whole office smelled like beef steak. Director is out somewhere for second day, he is also usually late for work.

1/5 of the ore for another Aeon has been gathered. This one will belong to Tai.

Going to need to simulate some fittings, I definately want the aoe warfare effects and both armour and hull tank refits. Saw a guy swap armour to hull tank mid fight in an Aeon. Was very impressed by that.

Darn. Ishtanchuk is always right (might just call her Cassandra...).

Maybe you've heard that CCP plans to move the forums to Discourse. In the best Fazmarai way, Indahmawar pointed that they're just making them cheaper to run and whatever else they spew is just PR bullsh*t, and also pointed that the new forums will be generally worse than the current ones since cheaper = worse. That without even mentioning that Discourse forums are fugly beyond what a mother's love could find beautiful*.

Well then, hold your jimmies because now they're gonna be rustled: turns that the new EVE Discourse-plagued forums will require a independent forum account i.e. your game account will not be linked to your forum account and vice versa. The CSM promptly informed CCP of the potential issues with this (killing the character bazaar, impersonation, trolling, et cetera) and CCP shrugged.

So, enjoy the forums while they last. We've got maybe 6 months left to blow this thread out of the water again... that's 100 pages per month... 3 a day... we can do it!

I was slightly sad, but now I know what we have to do.

We have to make LAGL thread on these new, upcoming forums and bring the server to its knees again and again and again. We have to post until hamsters will beg for mercy and CCP will regret ever having forums in the first place. But it will be too late to come back.

Registering for Discourse? No way Jose. I have too many online handles as it is, even after I've purged a good portion of them from operating memory.

Well, it's subtly different, according to the CSM minutes:

"The CSM asked how usernames would be determined, to which CCP replied that it would be set based on the first character you log into the forums with. Forum accounts would now no longer be based on characters, and instead would be account based. Players could have the option to change their forum username for a few days before it's locked."

Looks like even if characters can't have forum accounts, the Discourse account still will use a name from the game account. Frankly, that's not what I understood from the news reporting it at Crossing Zebras. It makes more sense, but will be tough to decide who's the visible head of each account... Yiole and Indah share the same game account!

(But then, maybe we could just start an alpha account for each name we want to use... oh my)

Sweet and smooth session in WoWs, lost two games, then won two, and on the last one I made sweet money with my Izumo. Firing all three turrets on a target at close range can be devastating. Now I go to bed with a smile.
