I'm not aware of any pirate implant sets that increase yield. Either you're focused on maximum output or you aren't. If you aren't, then you can drop an IHU and fit your Hulk easily. If you are, then you should be aware that you can swap clones within a citadel with no jump clone timer. You've been playing EVE long enough to know that there will always be - and must be tradeoffs.

Sure, and that is totally fair.

Historically I used something along the lines of Crystals + Michi (slot 7) + Slot 10 Ice/Ore. It kinda makes sense for the crystal set, especially back when I was in null and could active tank a belt full of battleship rats.

Dunno. I guess I will adapt to the changes, I just wish they'd lay off the CPU on the Ice Harvesters a bit.

If you want to tank a belt full of battleships, that is what the skiff is for now. Hulk = massive yield, Mackinaw = middle of the road, Skiff = Massive Tank.

It's balanced the way the Devs wanted it, and the way that it makes sense...if you want tank, use the Skiff, if you want Yield, use the hulk. You can't have your cake and eat it too anymore, and the reason they ignored the feedback on that...is because they did it on purpose to be like that.

So CCP 'reworked' mining ships so they could not be optimized?

Is that correct?

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

Of course not.

They just changed the manner of optimization.

One of the perks of Citadels.

Just have to be careful if you are going to install a clone in a Citadel. Don't let this noob be you:

Well the Orca does a pretty good job there.

What's not to like about 250k EHP, shield bursts, shield logistics, and 800 dps from sentries? Is this basically a "hisec slowcat"?
