BEWARE of big ships / NPC miner backup

just witnessed someone attempting to blop the NPC cargoship that comes to pick up the ore from the NPC miner fleet in gallente space, she used a catalyst, i went offscreen for only a couple seconds , it was then i herd a boom. went back inview and saw on my overview 3 Megathons and 2 other large ships, her ship was popped instantly and she went home in pod.

so beware the NPC miners, They have big backup in gallente space..........

I guess CODE won't be asking them for permits then?

i thought the NPC fleet only used small to med backup ships , NOPE ..... probably the only way to safely blop there cargoship would be to warp in with bombers and warp out to dockup asap with a team observer nearby. an then maybe you get lucky XD.

dang i never thought they would go overbord on the backup yeesh o.o

now that's fun!

would they attack anyone on the belt or only the aggressor? like let's say there is mining fleet in the belt, I pop the npc and burn 200 km away - battleship npc spawn will they attack the miners?

That kinda ruins high sec rafting for alphas.

Was it a gallente miner or was it a dinky Npc Corp like deep core mining.
If it was a factional empire miner I could see the megathron being appropriate. Ive only see pictures of cruisers responding tho. Maybe it's random

You could always do it with friends with a "doctrine" so you can stand your ground if the response actually has some teeth.
