Are lvl4 missions only worth while thing to do in highsec?

So, I opened my account once again to try something new in eve, this time it was exploring! I was all exited about it and planned a fit that could roam around in high sec space looking for combat/analyze/salvage/hacking complexes, and after 5hours of flying around, finding wormholes and mining sites, I got kinda bored.

I did found one salvage site that had 100k worth of loot and one combat site with few 3k bounty rats...

So I suppose I wont be doing that anymore then, so I pondered about mining, it would go nicely with my habit of listening audiobooks, this time I was a bit more skeptical about the idea, and did a quick search about the income you could make in high sec, and it would seem its pretty far fetched idea, even in a hulk, to make a decent income in high sec...

So whats left? I don't really like the idea of trading or manufacturing that much, would rather do something active... so... missions?

Off topic: are faction wars/militia thingy any good? Or just gate/station camping?

-Thank you for answers

You could do incursions - even with low skills, you can easily make a billion isk/day.

You can always do Incurions.

Just make sure you donate ALL your ISK to some massive 0.0 alliance as they need all the monies. So unfair they have to endure such hardship while you make TRILLIONS per hour!!!

FW is fun if you find a good fleet to join. You can play the gatecamp game or if you adventurous scan down militia players doing missions :D .

Just remember to bring several hulls and modules and expect to lose them fast. I dabbled in FW for a bit and found it was fun, as usual in eve, with a good group of guys.

If you want the solo route go lone wolf and pick off the occasional militiaman that does missions, roams or is moving from one place to another , stupid mission agents sometimes send you like 10 to 15+jumps away and that kinda blows.

Wish they made missions more interactive like APB ones, where one militia needs to hold a point and the enemy militia has to take it away from them, that would surely spruce up FW missions :D

Also try W-Space, no local and a real sense of being alone until an scanner pins you down and warps on top of you in the middle of nowhere :D

Several nice corps out there that try to eke out a living in W Space, another part of the game I wish they developed more.

Just grinding L4s is bound to drive you crazy, several options there.

Some of the things I like to do in hisec are dock in station and alt tab to Arkham City or Skyrim. In order to do this, you will need Arkham City or Skyrim.

When that gets boring, I start a load of laundry. It's not exciting, but at least I feel like I did something productive.

You could do that anywhere, though in some places you'll wind up in jail...where you can get paid to do it!

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

I just did a pop in to a C1 wormhole and popped back out after clearing one little site. 12 million isk and ened up a dozen systems away from where I went when the WH closed behind me when I entered. Kind of a forced commitment at that point. :)

There was a second site in the C1 I could have cleared except I ran out of ammo (bad planning).

Playing solo in highsec you can't help but get bored of missioning. Here's some options.

Explore/probe anomolies ( which you did ) and get even more bored.

Work towards putting up your own POS in highsec and manufacturing ( which you don't like ).

Mining ( which you correctly interpreted as a terrible investment of time if you are looking at the reward aspect ).

Run the DED sites in a T2 frigate , more profitable but there is alot of competition.

Hunt for botters/RMTers in highsec. They are there and you can learn how to find them.

Ninja Salvage other peoples mission..kind of a griefer thing and poor isk return for the time. Missioning pays better.

Hmm, DED sites can actually be worth it? Doesn't really need to be as good income as missions, just not a total waste of time, and I do like T2 frigates tbh, always wanted to find something reasonable to do with them...

I suppose wormholes might be fun too, I'm just a bit unsure how safe they are, I don't really have a lot of ISK but I suppose plain T2 fitted drake is not much of an investment though. I need to be able to probe myself out of there right?

Join the fleets to take down the Sansha mothership when they appear in high sec incursions. Lot of fun there.

Yes. I started 3 new accounts, trained each char on each account for a day, then started doing Vanguards by myself.
I cleared 10 billion the first day alone.
I figure once I get the hang of it I should easily clear 20 billion/day.

Once I get that ISK stream sorted out, I will do something easier, like topple Test, Goons, and the Russians with the same chars.

Any more statements you want to make that are completely without merit?
