You guys are right, the limit can be worked around using pyfa, exporting old fits and deleting them, storing them in notes etc.

200 fittings is still too few for some of us as there's lots of fits you want immediately instead of looking through notes or importing old xml files or looking through the hundreds of fits stored in pyfa. We should be able to store at least twice as many, especially considering the fact that not all players have that many fits to begin with, so I don't think it's a matter of server space use.

It's not a huge deal (like the game never storing note folders isn't) but it would be a serious quality-of-life upgrade.

So you would throw away all the effort the players have put into programs like Pyfa, EFT, and EvEHQ?

Keep the fits you need immediately on the server, and keep the rest in Pyfa. Pyfa has the exact same organizational system as the in game fitting management, so I don't see how it's significantly slower to retrieve them from there.

Oh yes, adding more fitting slots in-game would make Pyfa, EFT and EvEHQ COMPLETELY WORTHLESS! Why didn't I think of this sooner? I mean, I should have known since all these are used for the sole purpose of storing extra fits, right? Oh and, heaven forbid they implement something like ghost fitting! That would kill all of them at once! I'm sure players like me might say it won't, I'm sure CCP would say it won't and isn't intended to, but we'd ALL be wrong! We're idiots to think that all of this software has other uses such as:


  • Different character skillsets
  • Graphs
  • Implant, projected effect and fleet boost simulation
  • Cargo item inclusion in the fit (like depots and MTUs)
  • Fit format conversion
  • Transferring fits between TQ, SISI and other characters/accounts easily


amongst other things, but noooooooooo apparently none of these are reasons to use all those, only storing more fits than 200! Plus, having more fits in-game would mean all the players who are using these would be FORCED to not use external software! What a disaster!

Here's some advice: Next time you want to make a bullshit accusation like that and imply someone wants to throw everyone else's work in a trashcan, do some homework or, for a change, THINK. It's not hard, but it's definitely harder if you're stupid.

yea.. and if you think ive come this far in eve and don't know what pyfa is....

I was only drawing a parallel to other games in the fact that I play eve vanilla.

I don't use dotland, piratesLittleHelper, pyfa, eve com. or any other bs.

And I only use one account.


The arguments against having more stored fittings are weak as ****.

Its literally kbs of storage extra to double everyones stored fitting capacity and no real reason not to.

patch notes today: "The capacity for personal saved ship fitting has been increased to 250."

Looks like CCP agrees. Props to CCP for this, it's a step in the right direction.
