Very much this. Emphasis on window locations and size. Also, when you open anything with items in it and have it for a list view, the name column automatically sizes to fit the longest name, which often moves the quantity column out of view, which is also quite annoying because I have to resize the window to find the line to move.

On a side note I've also noticed that if I have two clients running that the second client will not have the fancy new AP route icons under the system information. It ONLY happens on the second client. This makes it quite frustrating to autopilot through space in a freighter and at time scary.

Make it so that building and inventing things are not such a clickfest.

Standard procedure for inventing 10 BPCs of "Sensor Booster II" after I've sourced a set of max run BPCs, datacores and the data interface thingy, dropping them in POS labs;

Right Click Sensor Booster I BPC #1
- Invent
- Click to choose the lab
- "View region"
- "My corporation"
- Click on lab (at a POS)
- Click lab slot
- Click accept

Right Click Sensor Booster I BPC #2
- Invent
- Click to choose the lab
- "View region"
- "My corporation"
- Click on lab (at a POS)
- Click lab slot
- Click accept

Right Click Sensor Booster I BPC #3
- Invent
- Click to choose the lab
- "View region"
- "My corporation"
- Click on lab (at a POS)
- Click lab slot
- Click accept

(Dumdidum, this is getting annoying)

Right Click Sensor Booster I BPC #4
- Invent

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.....

Hmm, wait, my char could only run 9 slots. So it fails. It naturally could not tell you this when I right clicked "invent".

I will then have to return 1 hour 15 minutes later and repeat this for another set of 9 copies (as BPC copy process maxes out at 20 max run copies, the usual "assembly line run" is 20 BPCs.

Streamlining this process would help Inventors everywhere to retain their sanity.

I should also point out that when I finally get a nice pile of Sensor Booster II blueprints out (which I can, thank god, just paint all in the jobs list and hit "deliver" once), I then get to build them and it goes something like this;

Right Click Sensor Booster II BPC
- Manufacture
- Click to choose factory
- Click on assembly line
- Click "from Materials" (hangar select)
- Click "to Finished Products" (hangar select)
- Update number of runs from 1 to 10
- Click accept
- Verify bill of materials, hit accept

...which I then get to do as many times as I have BPCs. Again. But I'll just skip the remaining repeats in order to keep this post shorter.

I trust you see my issue here... As to how exactly it should be better, I leave that to your very talented developers to solve. Just don't make me click so many times and don't make me re-select everything every-damn-time. Thank you.

(if you or your superiors fail to see the issue, I recommend that every CCP person is tasked to go and invent & build 20 BPCs of Tech 2 modules and then tell again that it is all working fine)

Players regularly getting into combat experience the infamous 'overview bug.' It's a semi-common experience where the ranges of displayed ships lag behind their actual position. Ships that you think are far away are suddenly in scram range.

If you're going to optimize the Overview, please make sure to find and fix this bug.

Most annoying part of industry/science for me is:
Every time you start a new job at a POS, you have to select "Current System" instead of "Current Blueprint Location" in the range dropdown menu when you open the pick installation window.

This becomes unnecessary tedious, especially when you are issuing jobs for more than one character.
If this setting would be saved, you would save me a lot of time, klicks and frustration.

Good question! What myself and the two other devs named in my blog are specifically interested in is harvesting your feedback on client performance.

How do we know whether the cause of something that is slow is the client and not the server or something else?
From a developer point of view it's probably obvious, but that doesn't necessarily apply to us the players.

Or do you just want a list of all things I try to do which don't happen quickly enough?

I do have a bit of a delay in loading the game to log in. Also a delay in loading the game itself once I have logged in. Also, after every time I update to a new client, the game prompts me to redo the update a few times afterwards. Then it stops

For now, i simply have three items i wish to bring up.

First, as many other people have stated, the ability to change characters without having the client restart.

Second, Market Orders, once you get in the 100+ orders range it becomes very tedious to update/modify/create. It also is very hard to keep track of all these orders. In my opinion, a simple fix would be to allow order quantities modifiable as well as price. Therefor reducing the amount of orders that would need to be created, while still charging the appropriate costs and making sure that Trading still takes some work. The order would still be restricted by a time limit, maybe shrink the time limit from 3 months to 2 , as a way to balance it.

Third, and i have no solution to this, but Market Orders lag by 2-3 seconds when buying or selling, when you've got 100+ Orders, it adds 5 minutes every time you update your orders. Lets say once a day, thats 35 Mins a week or 31 hours a year.

Quick Tag: Give a more consistent experience when playing hole activation sound resource for a character watching a wormhole.

Quick Summary: Character A jumps through wormhole. Character B on other side will hear the hole activation noise between immediately and totally after Character A has loaded the new hole.

This might have more to do with server code, but please look into two things:

i) how the client detects when to play the activation sound resource
ii) when it decides to play the resource once it knows it should.

I don't care when the sound resource is loaded, just make it consistent for everybody!

Technicals:

Character A & B even in same room. Verizon FIOS connection.

Here's something that should be easy:
When entering the game with a toon that is in the hangar there is some terrible stuttering with the ship while the camera zooms to the default position. Perhaps the UI is dragging the scene down.
