quite often fellow corp mates ask me what system i am in. after telling them, they ask " can you link it?" however i am usually building my sandcastle in this giant sandbox, kicking butterflies and all that good stuff, so i cant be arsed to do it. what would be nice is being able to take a certain solar system, and have a hotlink of sorts to our side bar thingy mo bobber. this way we can put our favorite systems one click away, just right click them and set destination, drag and drop for link, and depending on what statistic the star map is set to, know how many jumps, pods, or pirate ships destroyed. this would save crucial time, especially when opening the " greatly improved but still slow" star map.

When you select dock often times your client decides against automatically docking. So for example I've clicked dock and left the room to go pee quick and died to gate guns on the station.

Also it would be nice if the logs showed things

Remove the default settings in production/research setups.

When you're trying to start multiple builds or invention/copy/research job it is quite the click fest
pleaase make this easier by remembering the last setting

in loyality store possibility to buy items for unit

now you must click on botton for take 1 unit.
But if i need to buy 100 unit i must push the button 100 times and it is very lost of time. i think it is better have a form with you can input a numer and with 1 click you will take all items that you need :D.

second if you must merge items from 3 freighter container into a freighter, if you don't stake items 4-5 times when you merge items a window say "a lot of items"
i think it is possible to auto stake the items :D function.

Possibility to auto switch in same account from a pg to another without relogin.

If you read the minutes they're merging everything item related together.

I stuck a character into Faction Warfare yesterday and decided to start out with plexing. I captured several offensive complexes, but for hours the Militia window did not show that I had accumulated any victory points. I thought I was doing something wrong somehow, but I eventually received a mail about a promotion in rank. So, it was working, but the value of my personal and corporation victory points for the day was not updating at all.

Additionally - I ran into this yesterday - right clicking on a portrait seems to wait for some kind of server-side event before the right-click menu appears. The latency was up to 10-15 seconds. When this was happening, character info windows were also loading very, very slowly.

It was originally my comment and I don't use ctrl for push to talk (and freezing the overview is not at all useful).

The overview has so many issues with updating, and problems adding and removing things from it on the fly, yet it's probably the most crucial tool used in everyday eve life. Overview should be examined and improved before anything else IMO as everything else is just a minor inconvenience wheras broken overview makes it far more difficult than it should be to simply pilot your ship and keep track of the grid.

First, I still feel you need to clarify what the LIVE team does exactly? It seems like this overlaps with Team BFFs "thousand papercuts" project? Or are you something different? DO you not focus on papercuts and on iterating certain features beyond just "fixing" them? Or? Take a moment and clarify a little more on what we should be expecting from you please.

Good question! What myself and the two other devs named in my blog are specifically interested in is harvesting your feedback on client performance. Within the Live Team we have some software engineers of our own who are already working on client performance and this drive will ensure that what they fix is what you care about.

Soon we may ask about another part of EVE, perhaps for a feature/gameplay team. Then what we will do is make sure your feedback is properly collected and delivered to that team so they can make informed decisions based on what you (the New Eden community) told us. We are Testers so we can investigate issues and work closely with our programming brethren on getting to the bottom of your reports.

'Little Things' is a long term project by Team BFF [that has been on-going for about a year now] to collect and tackle minor issues and it covers anything small in EVE that bugs you!

The two projects each have developers of their own and are therefore able to work on separate issues. I hope this clarifies things P

So, you're only fixing windows? Bear

Uh, the WHOLE Secure Container Configuration thing.

Each client has separate settings for locking things on containers when dropping them in? Why aren't these set server side? If I'm managing a corporate hangar, I want to tell the CONTAINER how to act for everyone, not just for myself. If I want a container to NEVER LOCK STUFF when things are dropped in, but then people start dropping things in and it gets locked - then we have to unlock it, and then stack it all.

After that, we're dealing with the whole issue that you can't "Stack" locked things - which makes it a pain to tidy up a locked container because you hae to "unlock" - "Stack" - "relock" and we all know that is F-ing slow on 1000 items in a container.

Set a setting for configure "Allow stacking of locked items" or not (some people may want individual stacks at all times in an OCD fashion - I don't know.

I know you're doing some changes to the inventory system from the CSM minutes - but I figure Secure Containers aren't going anywhere anytime soon and that you can lock stuff in those containers.

As a corp director, i would like the corp windows such as "members" to be re-arrangeable. right now you cant view the whole thing in windowed mode cuz its too wide and you cant see the information that really matters. i would like to be able to re-arrange the columns so i can move "based at" and "title" to the end cuz i dont use them, and move "last online, ship" and so forth further to the left.

On a side note, thanks for making the watch list 5 members longer and the ability to re-arrange it, but could it be 20 instead of 15?
As a PS to players. dont "like" my post for the above sentence.

You can now drag and drop solar system/region/contellation/station names from your navi into the chat bar on sisi. its a wonderful feature comming really soon.

The 3 bar Eve symbol, next to the solar system name... can be dragged to chat. Click enter. it posts the solar system name, with a link. You can click on this link to see all the information you are asking for.

Suggestion

A simple way of sorting the feeling of an empty item bay.

A single select query that fetches amount of items (that does not need to check WHAT kind of item there is in your hanger will take VERY little processing time with a unique index consisting of an index with the two columns: character_id, in_current_station_id (ofc I don't know what these columns names are, but I guess CCP does... I hope xD)

That should return an exact number of the amount of items in a characters station hangar in about 0.000008 seconds or less.

This number should be fetched when docking / logging on to station.
And saved into a random variable that is kept for the entire station visit.

It is then showed on the Hangar icon maybe like the picture below.

Like this: http://www.chasingshadows.se/item_hangar.jpg

Or just when you have opened the Hangar it says in the top title of that window: Items - 555 units

And whenever an item reducing or increasing event is passed (like trashing, selling, buying, player trading etc), that number is updated by the same function that was sent when the player docked or logged in.

Maybe....

This please. The 5-at-a-time copy limit is very frustrating. Remove it or make it closer to 100 or 1000.

It of course is very useful for locking a specific entry when new things are decloaking/landing and messing with your listings by appearing closer/higher up in whatever sort you have applied.

Apart from that Smuggo's right, the Overview (and to a lesser extent watchlist, broadcasts) trumps all by far.

And what's with newly locked targets havving full EHP bars unti they update? Someone broadcasts, you lock them in a logi, you see them being fine and have to trust they're not mistaken and should have precious reps cycled on them and then it updates and you see they're in deep trouble. Have the bars greyed/clear/black/patterned if they're not confirmed.

The other hugely obvious client issue is when you're wrecked. What on earth causes that lag before you're certain you're in a pod with no modules or cargo? As for drop generation, that can be a seperate thread surely, but your client can assume you're in a pod and give you a responsive UI to let you warp out without this crazy spamming button habit we've all gotten in to.

In the Assets Window, clicking on a particular station to list the items in that station can take a very long time.
