Taking huge FPS drop since the patch. Just sitting in station Had no trouble before the patch locked at 60fps on 2 clients on 2 monitors. Now I stabilize at 35 fps and any time I switch focus between clients the new client temporarily goes up in fps while the other drops into the 10's and 20's before both eventually stabilize back at 35. Evil

edit: The stabilizing at 35 is just what happens when neither client is in focus.

Not a happy patch day.

I have exactly the same problem - i log onto 6 accounts and the framerate is usually acceptable - when I switch between accounts after this patch the frame rate immediately drops - I t drops to an unplayable level - The only solution is have one client open at a time instead of 2 or more. This is no good for me.

I also get fps stutter.... but at a rate that makes the game completely unplayable for me FPS Monitor

edit: could "fix" the low fps rate by changing "Shader Quality" to low. Now the game looks ****** but at least i can play again. Before the patch I could play with all graphics setting set on high.

Example in station

https://youtu.be/YGVEwE4_QvM

Again, before patch I remained locked at 60 on both clients.

Edit: In space everything seems fine. The problem is just when docked. Having one client docked and the other undocked still causes huge drops on both clients. Either something about the in-station rendering and the new updates arent playing nice or one of the new ads on your in station billboards got wrekt.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Even if my fps is above 100, I can really notice and feel the stuttering happening. At least I can still play but it's really annoying.

Edit: My weird stuttering persist both in station and in space. Settings doesn't matter either.

Was just watching the FPS monitor while watching the billboard. There's a noticeable dip in fps 2-3 seconds before the end of each advertisement (I assume correlates to the loading of the next upcoming ad,) then depending on which ad is playing the fps either remains fairly stable or goes down the crapper. If your running 2 or more clients on separate screens it just destroys your fps across all clients as each client is running different ad's and each one of them is contributing to the fps wreckage in it's own way. Not sure what kind of variation you have with the ad's (size, encoding, etc) but it would appear that some of them are system killers while others are fairly benign. Whatever the case, thanx again for not giving us an option to turn off the billboards and removing the option to load station environment. XO

Maybe it's not the specific ad's that are at fault and instead your new "improvements" to graphic processing aren't playing nicely with the billboard effects... it's certainly a significant hit either way.

Edit: Disabling AA provides a significant improvement but the frames rates are still well below normal and are fluctuating along with the billboard activity.

Yes, I am experiencing the same problem. MOTDs of several of my open chat channels are invisible.

We have reproduced and are investigating this issue - (too) long MOTDs (and similar texts like corp bulletins) are currently being hidden.

In a way it's a shame more people aren't having this FPS problem.

With so few experiencing it, it's unlikely to get investigated.

If you're running a single client on a newer machine you're not as likely to notice it unless you have FPS monitor up all the time. (Assuming we're all dealing w the same issue.) It's just multiplied so badly once you have multiple clients docked up in station. My entire system temp went up over 10 deg C just logging on and sitting in station a few minutes. I'm gonna pass on any afk in station activity till I hear something new on it I think.

I am really noticing the stuttering even without having FPS Monitor up. It's weird. Small stutter every second or something like that.

For those with low fps and also the case of market lag: Please send bug reports (best directly through the client - F12) and include as many details as possible.
For fps: Check if changing your graphic setting has any impact. Is it only happening with multiple clients, or can you also notice it with one client?
For market lag: Please try first also to clear your client cache.

I have issues with the game itself as well:

Takes like 2 minutes to get into the screen where you can choose your character, if you click on your character it takes up to another 2 minutes until your character appears in station or citadel.

When i switch ships it stays a black screen http://puu.sh/rFqQy/a5bdc7c363.jpg, already for 5 minutes now, i mean i cant see my ship or anything also the citadel itself is black. http://puu.sh/rFqGv/def0ca8c0a.jpg

black screen for a while while changing out of the control mode http://puu.sh/rFqJZ/450c88ecf5.png

Its a bit annoying that it looks like this and is so slow just because of an update.

Yours, Karina

edit:
ant its also kind of slow with 1 client

FPS - Running the game in DirectX 9 seems to solve the issue for me. While this isn't ideal at least I can still play the game :)

Nope, spoke too soon it still has dreadful FPS

Never had this error message before today's patch.

While mining - "Application exefile.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware."

Result is a black screen and nothing working. Killed the process via Task Manager and loaded the character again. Just happened again on a different character when docking "EVE - CHARACTER (Not Responding)

Also, several "socket closed" messages in the 2 hours I've been on.

Add me to the list of players having FPS and/or lag issues with the game client. The game client seems to be suffering from overall response delay along with FPS drops. I haven't opened the Regional Market yet to see if that makes the lag/delay even worse, as Regional Market being used the first couple times of a play session has been a laggy mess on my end for months.

>Mikk

Addition: I run one account at a time, no multi-logins. So there's a FPS/delay issue that's not directly tied to running multiple accounts at the same time. Graphics are not cranked to all high maxed.
