As it stands now all we have is cargo cans to place items in, problem is we cannot place a can in a can (I know right), and if you have a big bpc/bpo library organization is paramount because finding things can be a problem I've gone as far as I can to organize but a Filing cabinet for your hanger would go a long way, hell even a secure can with multiple slots.

No worries, I wore out two mice before I figured out the filter was there ... Then broke another when I realized it was there all along.

Other than just using the Search Box (Filter), you can create some fairly detailed filters using the "My Filters" option in the lower-left corner of the cargo window. Click the + button and select "Group," "is," and "Blueprint," then in the last drop-down, select the various blueprint type you want (Components, Projectile Ammo, Hull Repair, etc): http://puu.sh/rDqvQ/a3355fcec8.jpg

You can do AND and OR combinations, as well, so if you want all blueprints related to, say, low-slot weapon upgrades (Heat Sinks, DDA's, etc), you can change the Match type to "Any" and it'll pull up all of them: http://puu.sh/rDqTi/7c4ed3fb94.jpg

Enter the name you want for that filter list, save it, and it'll show up in the left-hand side of your inventory windows.

It's a handy little search feature that makes things easier when in your cargo hanger.

When you have multiple thousands of bpc's/bpo's these filters get clunky.

Id wish we could stack identical bpo/bpc's Just have the number red to distinguish used bpo's from nonused. if the runs/me/te doesnt match it cant stack with a blueprint with different stats. that would make industrialists life a hell of a lot easier and clutter to the minimum.
My inventories lag due to the amount of bpc's and when you try to figure out if all your bpc's have same me/te/runs its a pain in the ass.

Except they would have to make a database I'd for every single BP combination

Man - I feel this goes back to the need for better inventory management - again.
