All the memories and stories the old Dark Lord would tell. Mindless hours spent online talking about the facts of life and food. Xirt was a special character and person and it's too bad that EVE had passed him by years ago as the game has never been the same without him. My fondest memories of Xirt are with Curse Alliance, Emperium Alliance and VOTF as a Corp. The famous fleet battles with BOB and Goons. From Dive bombing Ravens to the notorious BattleBall fleet setups. Xirt was taken way too soon and will greatly be missed by many.

EVE should erect a monument in Curse Space to honor a legend and one of the first players to play this game that forged a path on the EVE map to where EVE is today.

Before my time, but anytime we lose one of the old ones...or one of the great ones.....we are all poorer for it.

Both in Game, and Out.

I remember Xirt, he was a legend even when I started back in 2006. Shamis never told us that story though back in the day, guess he was pissed enough not to want to recount that one.

How'd he die?

Edit: just read on reddit, heart attack at 63, RIP Xirt, at least you got to live to a good old age.

Saw this on reddit last night and posted this:

I remember flying a few fleets with Xirtam back in the CA days! I particularly remember one battle that did not go well for us, we were deployed in a sniper fleet with I think ATUK lurking around, our scouts warned us they were in close range boats and they had our position but Xirtam insisted we would be fine.

Ofc what should happen but the enemy fleet landed right on top of us and it was a slaughter. Not the best of days for the legendary Curse Alliance, but one of many great memories I have of EVE and among my first of real PvP warfare :)

Xirtam, I salute you o7
