Hey folks i tried searching the web for an answer but there aint much to go on,
reason im here, is because today i got jumped by 9 or so ships and the combat log is not showing me the ship types for all the players, and the first player who was disrupting my warp drive, has not appeared on the log at all
is there any reason for this?

AFAIK combat logs (i think you are talking about 'Accessories'->"Log and messages'?) only show what your ship does or how other object damages your ship. No other information is given.

If you want to have full scale info you might do 'fraps' your game and then afterwards watch it and investigate

Im looking on my character sheet "Combat Log" Losses, which shows you the Characters/ ships/ and weapons used , im not sure what ( 'Accessories'->"Log and messages is ) or What 'Fraps' is.

I may be wrong on this but afaik only the guys who have inflicted any damage to your ship will be listed in the killmaill

as for many of them not appearign ther - maybe your ship poped so fast that they haven't got a chance to fire their guns?

https://zkillboard.com/kill/56343168/ this should tell you what you want to know. Interesting mix of players there.

FRAPS is a program to record your fights so you can analyze them after the fact.

afaik ?

i dont know what this means, but basically the first guy came in on hes own and sarted disrupting my warp drive but he never appeared on the Combat log as an involved party, the rest of the guys showed up as far as i know, but it only showed me the weapons they used, not the ships they was flying.

The Saber on the bottom of the kill mail has a special ability to make an AOE Warp Disruption 'bubble' which will keep you from warping as long as you are in it's effect area. Which is why it doesn't show a Warp Disrupter in the Kill mail. The Kill mail will also prioritize damage mods over utility mods when it generates the report. So if you do damage to a target it will list the weapons system (Probably over a certain percentage of damage). If you don't deal damage it will show whatever they used to attack you with, IE Points EWAR Stasis webs so on.

The Kill mail that was generated when you lost your ship, and he was not on that means he left system, before you died, Or if the gang that landed on you killed him and podded him. Both would keep him from showing on the report.

ahhh thank you that answers my question,
He must of left before the others killed me as he warped in a few minutes before, he never dealt any damage just held me with warp disruptor till the others arrived, then they hit me with disruptors and bubbles.
hopefully he will be put on KOS. thanks again
