Hello, Ms. Aspenstar! Two questions I've been meaning to ask for a while: may these be the works of teams? And do these need to be new works, or may works within the span of the last year be submitted?

As long as not previously submitted to the contest, works within the span of the last year may be submitted.

Would there be an issue/conflict of interest if I also wrote for this contest?

Who would I need to speak to about questions regarding this?

If you plan to submit for the Pod and Planet, you should not submit here. Last year's rules for the Pod and Planet specified "-The work should be a new work and not have been posted or published before. Sorry, to be fair to everyone we have to follow a bright-line, no exceptions rule on this."

Thanks for the response. Since they limit their submissions to 5000 words and I am somewhere around 12000 words on my writing so far, I will go ahead and just submit to your contest. Thanks for your time.

Directrix Emerita; please consider our submission for the 'academic' category, the Hive salvage analysis released seven months ago.

If team writings are unacceptable, we may see what works we've published that are individual efforts.

Itsukame-Zainou Hyperspatial Inquiries: exploring the edge of the known, advancing the state of the art. Would you like to know more?

Woo I still have time. I've been far too busy with research to actually work on my prose story lately. I should get that written in my free time and submitted as soon as possible.

Is horror a permissible genre?

War is murder. It always has been, always will be. Murder in the name of God. Freedom. Your country. Whatever it is, it is murder. I am already against the next set of wars.

May I submit the entirety of my culture guides as a Prose entry ?

Or would it be more suitable for the Academic category ?

You tell me. Is it satiric fiction or a serious piece of non fiction? It'll be judged accordingly.
