Also confirming the -2.4 hits for Amarr

Gate jump animation is also broken.

Well nice idea, but unfortunately recovering standings is the most soul destroying mechanic in the game, you fix one, you break one, with some of the low value storylines, you can be running hundreds of missions just to recover from a few event sites.

So to get a reward, you would need to make a new character, just to pick up the "huge reward"

Good job alpha clones are coming, because many peoples mains are going to be effectively permanently banned from amarr and caldari space ( derived standings apply too)

Great event, the only way to win is not to play.

is anyone having issues with fleet ice mining boosts on a Skiff. The fleet boost is working on the Mac, but not the SKiff. this is since the patch. Also my Skiff does not have the numbers or the cool coloring.

yeah i get this sort of thing when i cant do events because my angel and serpentis standings are good and dont want to destroy them...

Well, I so far have 10 such hits which have brought me down from around 8 to about 4.6 with Amarr Empire. So it's not a raw 2.4 point drop, but still has done more damage to my Amarr standings in one hour than I've seen anyone ever do on purpose or without care, including me farming the hell out of several chains of Enemies Abound simultaneously. I wouldn't be surprised if some start getting shot at on gate or station by Navy boats while operating in Amarr space today.

Normal standings rules apply, one site is equal to 32 missions plus two materials for war storylines.

But run those and you have killed your minmatar and Gallente standings, so basically to undo the damage from one site many days of mission grinding, switching factions, and God forbid you have to restart with L1 missions all over again, or lose access to Amarr and Caldari Space.

Then you are really screwed.

I do hope so, I saw the post on reddit, so I only did one, and checked my standings, the Poor guy who did 10, it will take months of grinding, to recover, He at least will be able to access higher level missions with An amarr corporation standing, but pulling back such a loss, there are many weeks of soulless grind ahead of him.

Others will not be so fortunate, and if it is a cynical attempt to make people leave Highsec because it is effectively closed to them, they are unlikely to do so, they will take the other "nuclear" option.

At least people could recover from Boot.ini.

Do you really think that

1. The standings loss is intended
2. CCP will not reimburse/fix anyone affected by the issue assuming #1 is not true.

It's most likely in error. I still have enough standings to work in Amarr for Amarr agents, just sucks that I lost that much so fast and the only reason I didn't loose more was because I came here to see if others had broken gate animations.

On a lighter note...I did pick up an Ark and an Apoc SKIN on top of six other ships (two dropped twice).

Well at least now if you totally nuke your standings you have Citadels you can dock in and not get locked out of Amarr stations, though how this slipped through the cracks is quite baffling

Well, from CCP falcons post on Reddit, It is clearly unintended, and losses will be restored.

Unfortunately, it is sometimes hard to know what is intended and what is not, drifters had Hidden standings, before people became aware, they existed, with interesting consequences for them.

The sheer destructive power of this event however, did imply that an error had been made, but errors do sometimes have consequences that CCP decide have a use, and decide to run with them. (Access to creating clones etc).

Anyway, we can relax now, and let them sort it out, but to be safe, I will wait for a fix first :)

I lost 3x2.4% and only killed one BC before people discovered this and I got warned.

It may not be the final BC someone said, so you might have gotten unlucky and got hit three times by this bug for one site. I didn't check to see if all of mine were the same rat name or not, but it's possible to get that. Some missions do that where you get multiple standings hits for NPC kills.

They have stated they intend to reverse the hits once they nail down what the cause is.
