What if any chages have been made to the Cosmos areas and missions if any, thanks.

COSMOS Missions are a relic of a thing CCP threw at the wall and didn't quite stick.

The consensus is that COSMOS constellations are broken, incomplete, the missions are a once in a lifetime deal and the rewards are downright depressing. There hasn't been a single bug fix or QA directed at them for the past three years, and I believe that has been the case ever since they were introduced.

My advice? Stay clear of them.

Hey, I like them. They are a source of some good stuff, even implants (can be worth even above 100M ISK) and RP items.
Also the stories are sometimes quite interesting if you dont mind some reading.

COSMOS is one of those features CCP made more than a decade ago then promptly forgot about. The main idea was a series of one off missions to help ease the strain of standings grinding, along with a few static/respawning complexes to stimulate a 'new sector' of the economy. It mostly worked as people used COSMOS for standings and a few people made a lvinging farming the harder to find items to sell to other players.

The last fix to anything related to cosmos came about 5 years ago when they stopped the 23.5/7 COSMOS Farming Drone ships. It was imo quite genius, players would set their remote repping sentry drone Dominxes inside a COSMOS complex that infinitely respawns and just collect bounties all day and night long.. This went on for years. I actually wish I'd though of it myself lol.

Indeed. Smile

COSMOS is one of the most interesting PVE content CCP made for EVE, too bad they were so quick to dismiss it.

I ran a few COSMOS sites using a guide on evelopedia, right about the same time they pulled Evelopedia. I wish they had something in game, like in the journal that would show what COSMOS missions you've run already because now I have no idea where I'd even begin.

They were really cool, like a light version of the quality Epic Arc types of missions.

I don't really care for regular missions they are a snoozefest.

Actually journal for those missions like in a form of a list of undeciphered messages in the panel, without indicators as to from who, only from what system they originated, when the mission name and objectives would be showed (undeciphered before) after you meet agent and accept the mission, would be like an epic arc of an epic length.

Like most have posted, not too much has been changed. The biggest change CCP did was relocate a few Caldari Cosmos sites to different systems. The other noteworthy change was done to the Hacking missions.

As for Cosmos missions, they're still the same. The missions have a good story plot and give some good rewards. The missions themselves are tougher than regular missions. A level 1 Cosmos mission is equal to a level 2 regular mission. They require a set amount of Faction standing for access and can only be completed once in the life of the character.

This same topic was asked in Missions & Complexes sub-forum a while ago. Here's my quote containing Cosmos info.

There's a bug associated with Cosmos Agents , meaning if you talk to a Cosmos Agent and decline the mission offer, they will count that as a fail and will not re-offer their mission series.

So the main thing to remember - Do not fail, quit, decline or let Cosmos mission offers expire, it could lock out access to other Cosmos Agents.

I worked the Cosmos Agents in steps, such as level 1 Minmatar, Caldari, Gallente, then did level 2 agents, etc. The Amarr Cosmos is tricky which I did in 2 parts, the first part has agents of various levels directing you to other agents of various levels. Basically a mix of level 1 to level 3 agents all chained to each other. The 2nd part which I did later was all of the level 4 agents.

I actually used a few different guides including the one you linked. I'd check them all out first and research the Agents mission series and try to collect all the required items before even speaking to the Agent, making it easier to collect the mission reward and bonus time reward. Course there's a few items that only become available after the mission is accepted but doing the research and collecting up everything else beforehand definitely made it much easier.

At various times I would use Data Center Agents whenever needed to gain standings high enough for access to Cosmos Agents. These are all the different guides I used for reference info when I ran Cosmos.

Majority of the info in the linked guides is still accurate. CCP has made a few small changes to some of the missions, most notably to some of the Complex locations in the Caldari Cosmos.

I used a variety of ships, all Minmatar, to complete the missions. T1 Frigate, T2 Cov Ops, T1 Cruiser, T2 Cruiser, T2 Battlecruiser, T3 Cruiser, T1 Industrial Transport, T2 Blockade Runner, etc.

I also had some fleet mates help on a few missions. On missions that required combat against one of the 4 main Empire Factions, I'd buy the required item from contracts / market.

Hope this helps, good luck to you.

Easiest way to see if you've already accessed a Cosmos Agent - open up the agents info box, select standings tab, scroll down and view the agents personal standing towards you. If it's neutral, then you haven't accessed that agent. If it's positive or negative, then you've accessed that agent in the past.
