How to Fix WH Space // How to get more CONTENT

This is my suggestion, as a wormhole veteran, for making wormholes ...great... again... yeah...

Anyway, here it goes:

1. Make gravimetric sites cosmic signatures again.

Why?

- This provides a time buffer that miners can rely upon so they feel "safe" at a mining site. If miners feel that they have a chance of avoiding PVP via the likely chance they will spot probes on directional scan and warp away before being scanned down, they will very likely attempt to mine. The way the gravimetric sites work now, even new players will not risk warping to a site that any ship could get to with almost no effort. Even in ventures. Seriously.

- This gives PVP WH players something to hope for. If I want to kill someone, and I know that there are people mining out there that THINK they are safe, that means there is likely a miner out there that needs to use the bathroom, and will risk going AFK at a site because "there's no way they'll scan me down before I get back to the computer". It's the little things, seriously.

2. Remove energy neutralization all together from lower tier wormhole sites.

Why?

- With wormhole sites that have such neutralization power, newer players are more intimidated by lower tier wormhole sites than they previously were, and thus pack on heavy passive tanks on ships that they may have previously fit with a lighter active tank. This in turn deters PVP content, particularly solo content, because it becomes exponentially difficult for a solo ship to take on such heavy neut resistant ships.

3. Do not allow the passive display of cosmic anomalies / signatures.

Why?

- Where is the element of surprise when a wormhole corporation flips all of their exits, ignores scanning their new statics, which locks out the hole, ignores their current signatures, then WARPS OUT of whatever risky business they were engaged in the second a new signature pops up on scan. I get trying to make wormhole space seem more approachable for newer players, but this kind of play significantly detracts from PVP gameplay.

4. Rework probes to allow those that return a stronger signal to have a heavier influence on the accuracy of the signature scanned.

Why?

- Probing wormholes is already a pain in the ass, which is fine, that's part of wormhole space, but CCP could undo the ninja nerf to probes implemented back in 2011, by which they allowed all 8 probes to return a signal instead of only the 4 strongest. It was reasonable WHY they did this, but if they re-work probes that are overlapping to return cleaner results from the probes closer to the signature source, they can retain the probe results obtained from all 8 probes, and properly increase the accuracy of stacked probes and un-nerf the system that could seriously benefit from un-nerfing.

5. Get rid of frig sized holes.

Why?

- Because fragmenting an already fragmented section of EVE means LESS FIGHTING. And not fighting in eve is just wrong... way wrong... someone needs to fix this, it's seriously jacked. I get wanting to add a new dynamic, but I think that should be left to the bonuses, not the size of the gate between them.

Please CCP, listen to this urgent message from a passionate WH veteran of old. You have made some good decisions about wormholes, but those listed above need to be carefully reconsidered for the sake of what little is left.

or how is this "when the entire community tells you it is a terrible idea to have **** spawn at a mass based distance, maybe listen to them"...

Problems of the worm hole life and you bring them all on yourselves, the same as the low sec players. To be blunt blame yourself for the lack of targets to shoot at.

Scanning is the only part to comment on specifically and while we agree that it needs help I disagree with the strongest four probes thing. I prefer getting ALL signals display after each cycle because quite often the ones I want are the among the weakest signals returned.
