TL ; DR need paragraphs bro

But I did read the first few lines and yup, it'd be nice to have a personalized event "The Hunt is On" every once in a while.
Given the state of the AI, I doubt an NPC hunter would do much good though;

it'd probably be better if this task were outsourced to special operatives within the factional warfare community (real players), kind of like a mission that pops up and basically gives you a free-to-kill-that-dude pass.

Seen other games where they had this. usually just another npc(s) to kill. To work best they have to randomly show up up at a bad time. Basically to hurt they have hit you undocking in a hauler. Don't do your own aggro, not in a kick out....redock.


Player idea has an issue. I view faction missions as pointless. FW farms tags better....so I leave that to them. Fixed standing once, not in a rush to do again lol. I decline these by default. Usually once every couple days. So rare I get these it reinforces why I don't do them, it takes forever to get tags anyway. Not seeing many non FW Bears do this either.


So this could be FW hunting FW really. Kind of what they do now anyway.


And just a pita when a FW player leaves since hunt able in empire after retiring from FW. Basically yet another penalty to make FW look less inviting really.

Yeah, but most likely level 5 runners, who will care not a damn about this "stronger" NPC as they roflstomp it from their thanatos.

Level 4s there's no need to tank faction standing as if you're stopping to loot, you're doing it wrong.
