For the past few weeks it's been rubber banding hell in Eveonline. When I warp off to another gate I get to see myself do it 2 or 3 times. I keep checking my connection so I know it's not me. Sad

If this is true it seems strange as the other MMO's I'm playing all are running clean. IDK. Guess I'll look more into it.

Check things like Steam downloading in the background. I'd struggled before with a connection that seemed fine in most scenarios, but playing EVE or connecting back to work via VPN was dead and Steam background downloading updates to games was the culprit.

over the last 36-48 hr i have been getting multipul client crashes due to lagging out

I have experienced this on several accounts and this has also been the case for co pilots in and around the minmatar region.

programmes downloading in the background are not to blame but can slow a connection
Provider records show no fault in the line connection during these periods

1. Extreme cases have been UI windows opening and displaying content serveral minutes after opening said panel/window
2. Player Info tab failing to open
3. Market showing delayed or no market data
4. taking several minutes to swap ships or undock

Crashes have been happening but rare so the client/server is functional but something is bugging the get/set funtions for communication ie being given superlong wait times for server response maybe ?

Experiencing similar here - particularly noticeable last couple of days.

Quessie? Any Aussies with similar issues?

Saw this happen couple of years back with CoH - turns out it was a major Aussie ISP fault.

Honorson your issues might be related to the emergency reboot we had recently

The OP's problem is unrelated and specific to him.

He's getting rubber banding, not DCs

The last two days I've seen similar and I checked all other applications for excessive bandwidth usage. (Kiwi here) I believe now the problem may have been with CCP / intermediary, as the recent forum threads have shown.

They needed an unscheduled reboot yesterday and had a couple of nodes down, I believe.

Edit: Which yes, DC issue. But the node health may also have been the cause of other issues.

i have also had rubberbanding on accel gates but was putting it in a broader base of issues . ie rubberbanding is the effect not the cause.

all in the same boat but at least i aint the only one ,, puts away format discs :)

Thousands of players are having problems with lag with eve atm, its not local problems. rightclickmenu, cargos, hangars, skill queues, looting, stuff like that are lagging like shite.

Those problems atm are problems with the EVE clusters/servers and not users clients / PCs / connections.
Its been on for around 24 hours soon, the reboot helped it for an hour. OBS modules are not lagging, they are cycling like normal.

My guess is overloaded database.

Sweden here with 100/100Mbit/s bahnhof connection

To remember what a CCP GM told me in an old petition, they wont do anything or reimburse ships even if pink thoraxes start spawning in ones cargo.

I am forced to assume you people who have these Issues are flying Drakes and other crappy ships. You deserve it. Fly Winmatar. They don't lagg. Its part of the stealth skill pack for thie racials.

apparently this lag in empire is intended,

Time diliation does not reduce performance when the cluster is under heavy load to avoid lag, it reduces performance to save resources even during non laggy sessions without massive fleet fights. Very cleaver CCP, selling it as the solution to lag when it actually adds lag to places and situations that wernt laggy before.

Nope. it's CCP's fault. Most of us are having issues and the servers has been down more today than it's been up.

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

It was her/his fault. Before. Now it is CCPs fault. My guess is it has to do with the implementation of TD... just a guess though.
