is the jump button ever going to get fixed?

for me it works half of the time. Clicking jump for warp+jump.. Ship warps, yet it doesnt jump.
Idea: ship should jump every time player clicks jump on gate.

Do you suffer from a fleet warp after you pressed the button? If so, that's the reason. The fleet warp (although unsuccessful) aborts the jump command of the button and makes you stop on the gate instead.

no fleet warps involved. Just the normal jump button when moving around solo.

There is a good chance that you are mistaking the warp not landing you inside the gates jump radius as the jump button not working. And then you spam the jump button and think it works because you have travelled the last 500m to the gate.

I've found that button to be very hit or miss...... Should probably be looked at. Sometimes it works other times it doesn't appear to

Pressing it more than once can cancel the jump. I noticed this when i would spam the button when travelling between gates. I have no idea if this is intentional. I don't know exactly how it works, maybe if you press it an odd number of times you jump, press it an even number of times might cancel it.

What i do know is if you press it just once, you will warp, land and jump every time.

Same here. Though what I guess is that when you land on the gate and the server missed a server tick for the next distance checked it appears that you won't jump.

The next distance check will initiate the jump, always.

Botters try to automate everything so they don't have as much coding to do. Some just can't figure out which copied code to paste where (it is confusing at times)


+1 - let's automate the whole game so I don't actually have to play it.

This behavior is nothing new, I first noticed it about a six months ago and have been playing with it since.
Use the warp + jump combination button and occasionally you will land outside of gate activation range. The warp + dock combination button exhibits this same behavior occasionally landing you outside docking range. Use the warp to zero and you will always land in jump / dock range.

this sounds like a bug... that should have been reported as such rather than have a thread opened for it
