Assasins from a bad standing come find you, even in other empires.

If you have a negative standing of -7 or more that faction, empire or possibly npc corp will send assasins to go into or cross space to find you and even possibly into null. Only place to hide is quite possibly worm hole space. This should not be a common event but an uncommon event (Once in a while or great while). An assasin shows up and waits for you to come out of station or where ever you may be and asks that you pay a fine for restition or he will fire on you and blow youre ship up. Now this opponent will represent the faction, empire, or npc corp you have bad standing with and may quite possibly have paid off that faction for a delay of concord or free rights to shoot you(More likeley the latter, but I have another discussion on subject called `bounty hunters` for delay of concord). This opponent thould be tough but not hard, you can run from them and change ships as they do not warp scramble, at least maybe not yet anyways. You can hide in station or somewhere as they wait 24 hours then leave and come back another time till ship is blown or you pay restition in damages. If you run they will follow and constantly give a hard time as they have contacts to locater agents. But the more you run the higher the restitution goes and eventually a warp scrambler frigate will show up to help. If you run they will find you soon, like withen 5 minutes of going to another system to another station and even ways of finding you in space like the circadian seekers. If you decide to pay the possibly hefty fine, they will leave untill standing decreases even by -.01. Which they will send another soon seeing that you pay unless you can get standing to increase upto -6 or -5. If you decide to fight them and blow thier ship up, they will send another sometime down the road but you will never know when. The next could be a little tougher or maybe 2 ships. Friends in fleet or corps could help you fight, but they will take a standing loss upto -1. But any competent fighter with decent modules and skills could take them untill a master assasin shows up way down the road. Now he would be a challenge but still defeatable, but enough to make you think about youre standing or the hefty fine. You will not recieve bounty on them as they could be in good relation or secret connections in space you are in. Or some may have a good bounty or at least one good T2 or faction module when you blow them up.

Why exactly would one faction let another factions ships hunt in their space?
And why would we not just farm them for tags/modules/bounties/salvage/whatever they drop.

my caldari standing ins +6, but my standing with the caldari state protectorate corp is -7. Which takes precedence?

Are these things sent out by pirate factions? Because that'd be hilarious.

Also, Why?

Why?

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I'm settling for just not reading that wall of text.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

From what I'm reading, the OP wants bad standings to activate an unavoidable mission escalation scenario, with NPCs that are tougher but not too tough (just enough to provide a fun fight) being spawned to "harrass" you.

So, from an escalation point of view, sure, why not.

But from a standings point of view, if I'm at -7, it would suck to have no option but to periodically shoot an NPC from that faction, dropping me even lower, and ruining my chances to repair my standings.

As mentioned by other posters above, people do switch to the pirate factions in order to get LP and access the cool faction ships their LP stores provide. Where do you think Machariels, Gilas, Vindicators, Rattlesnakes, Bhaalgorns, and other such very popular ships come from? And then they may want to switch back to being able to enter empire space.

So, your idea will just result in people stopping their faction adjustments at -6.9, thereby completely negating this whole inconvenience of the "assassin" NPCs. Thus it's somewhat pointless to implement it.

I'm going to send an in-game space assassin after you as payback for this formatting abomination.

I support this, but only if posting terrible ideas sets your standings with the Society of Conscious Thought to -7. It'll be fun watching OP get chased around by assassins all day.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

That's already implemented in the game..
Fly to a trade hub and start smack talking a random HS wardec alliance.
Wait for "master assasins" to come after you.

Thats all just dandy and great guys but this would add more excitement to the game like things are a little more alive than just missions. Besides a heavy missioner is likely to have bad standings with something.

Only a carebear would equate "more excitement" with "stronger, more unexpected PVE".

Stop being a slave to your agents and go PVP someone; experience the excitement the rest of us see every day.

Ouuuh, so that's whats this all about, traffic signs. Okay that is very easy:

The green and yellow on your route to excitement means you can get concordokken and the dark-orange and red only means that you can no be concordokken, not that you are not allowed to enter unless you wait for green.

For traffic signs red means stop but in EVE it means, go right ahead.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!
