2 months = +3 mill SP

Buddy invite + 2 plex (900 mill) = 4 months' playtime for 12 mill SP

Sale of e.g. focused tengu pilot with 12 mill SP is around 4-5 bill

Profit 4 bill minus skillbooks?

ok your maths are slightly out.

51 days training is about 2.8mill sp or so (ok if you have perfect remaps maybe 10/15% more sp)

Then you learn at about 2700 sp per hour. 2700x24x30 = 1.9mil sp per month (this is assumed perfect remap)

So buddy invite + 2 plex = 1.9mil x 2 + 3mill from 51 = 6.8mill sp

lets say 7.5mill sp perfectly trained = a cruiser pilot maybe t3 then your looking about 3bill AT VERY MOST...

so 3bill - 900mill for plex - skillbooks - 900mill for transfer = 1.2bill - skillbooks used, so maybe about 800mill profit at good time.


Ok different types of pilots earn differing amounts of isk per Million sp, ive just used a cruiser specialist as example

However yes you can make money creating andf selling characters, and for me i find that the lower sp toons, the 3-4mill sp toons earn more than the 8-10mill sp toons.


I have been creating characters for about 2/3years and as we speak this girl will be going up on forum in approx 75days give or take, and after costs iw ould expect to see about 1.5bill profit +/- 15%

Could you clarify how you worked that out? I was working out 111 days of game time as buddy invite (free, you get a plex for a plex activation) plus 2 plexes, i.e. total cost 900 mill.

As to the sale value I'll assume your valuation to be correct, I was going off a few T3 pilots on the character sales atm which appear to have b/o offers around 4.5 bill on them.

well the 51days is free, you dont get the plex free you have to activate the accoutn to get a free plex, so buy a plex on your new account to get a plex on your old account

basically the 51days is free if you assume that you will ALWAYS need gametime on your alt,

you then have to buy plex at market value for any time after or if you use the free plex you receive then you will still have paid 475mill (current jita value) for 81days game time.



Or have ccp give an extra bonus for buddy invites at the moment.

Basically i used to be able to create a hulk pilot with the 51 days however since some changes in teh skills a few patches back this can't be done to a decent standard.

Any time calculated for cost of life starts from day 52

Hope this makes more sense
