Low SP Opportunities to Give SP & Low SP Reoccurring Opportunities

The obvious counter would be that this could improve farming SP for skill injectors but there's an endless number of limits CCP could come up with to solve that.

I think it would vastly improve how long new players stay interested in eve due to that feeling of 'not being able to fly anything' being somewhat resolved. We used to have a 200% boost for the first 2mil SP (or something like that), i think we should gain that back in the form of 2mil less SP Opportunities and Reoccurring Opportunities (that actually get players trying to do things); and skill injectors being limited to having 2.5 mil SP (must have 500k of normal speed skill training which eliminates potential for improving SP farming).

Stupid? Or a good incentive? EVE is going to be getting a lot bigger from the way CCP portrays it's future, we are going to need more people flying around up in here!

New players already start with 350k more SP than the rest of us did, plus the NPE is a complete handholding compared to old days, so I think new players are going to do just fine without another boost.

Choices... I go with #1: Stupid.

Why? EVE does not need this kind of player. EVE needs new players that want to play the game despite the hardships and can motivated themselves to overcome the hardships. EVE does not need new players who need hand-holding and silver spoons on every tiny edge of the game that could make them stumble and hit their rosy nose.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Most of that initial bonus was spent on the learning skills, one balanced out the other. If the bonus was to be reinstated then there would have to something similar to the learning skills to balance it out.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

So i just started a new character several days ago. I started with 420-450k SP already allocated. What i got was a lot of core skills. My alt could immediately fly any of my racial t1 frigs and a venture. Mining was 3 already. weapons were trained high enough i could use light rails but needed a little training to use light missiles. , I had good enough exploration skills out of the box to start doing high sec sites. , i had cybernetics so i could instantly use basic implants and most important i had high cpu and pg management skills so i had zero fitting problems when i fitted both a kestrel and a caracal( with heavies).

I would consider that a good start. Also at that level 10k SP goes a long way. I can train many new skills to level 3 with 10k sp. I can train 4-5 skills per day to level 2 from zero per day. or about 15-20 to level 1.

We need more new players like you, who get the right idea of how this is going to go. You the right things at the right time, kudos man.

If your attitude doesn't change over time, you will go places here.

The only thing EVE does not need is even more hand holding or an easy mode below the easy mode.

P.S.:

This weekend our corp added a few new aspiring new members to the corp and I want to make a shout-out to him because you could say on his second day of his trial account he got an all package "girlfriend-experience".

We got him to nullsec and gave him a venture and a few frigates to play with and this last weekend was a blast, I newer had so much fun killing stuff and so did he.
You could hear him smile all mind-blown how his experience was with us on the very first days in New Eden.

Now for some of you that is not a big deal or you have had similar experiences with new players but he did so very well with literally zero experience and low skillpoints and we taught him to do the chores, so he can have his base skills to a proper beginner level and he made his very first appearance on a thanatos kill.

Tell me someone who had her / his name on a thanatos kill on day 3 in EVE.

He said, he would wait out his trail and subscribe, I can't wait to teach him proper spiraling into battleships to pin it for us - guess what, I can blobb too.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!
