I pointed out that I had rounded up his fighters and placed them safely on the market. It would appear they had set their corp into an alliance and this had messed their settings up, anyone could have done what I had for almost 20 hours, guess I just got lucky.

1 Billion isk isnt a huge haul but made me chuckle all the same.


They really do have some work to do on Citadels. So many things broken with them right now. They are way more fun to have in game than POS' though. :D

The only thing I got besides shooting at MTUs is I did take over a citadel once and put all of the weapons and defenses offline.

I spoke with the owners and it transpires that having erected the citadel, they formed an alliance with themselves. This seems to have reset all the settings thus allowing me to access their defences and weaponry. rotten gyts replaced their stuff from Amarr and didnt buy my booty from the market !!

If you're looking for a valiant tale of a rapscallion making off with the goods and scoffing at those who vainly tried to thwart him, well... this is not the story for you.

I was dicking around in Aunia this morning, mostly because the derps in Ourseleart and Eglennaert were on to my particular brand of shite. I saw a suspect in system, which generally gives me a bit of a happy, because it means at least one ship out there does not require me to have permission to shoot at them.

Anyways, I do my scanning thing in hopes of finding a yummy battleship or marauder out and about to screw with, but pickings are slim and all I manage is a battlecruiser to play with for a bit... and, well, he's having none of it.
Then, behold, I hear a cry in local from some random npc character, 'If you see any saspact pilot I am hunting them. Let me know.'

Wat?

Okay, so I refine my scans a bit and find a pocket with a cruiser and a frigate within it as well as an industrial. Sure, why not? I land to find a suspect Worm and said NPC char in a Succubus in pocket with a noctis. The cruiser was strangely absent.
Did I mention that I was suspect at the time? yeah, about that... two minutes left on timer.

So, like any good murderhobo, I beeline it for the Worm, who appears to be engaged with the Succubus. Locks are traded, scrams are landed, drones are popped. It's a jolly good time. Did I mention I was flying an afterburner fit Hecate? Yeah, i was. Not the speediest thing ever built, but nice damage application up close and a decent tank.
Hey, kinda strange... the Succubus has locked but not engaged.

Enter the Kirin. My suspect timer drops, but the logi frig is repping the worm for all it's worth. Did I mention said Worm was piloted by an esteemed member of CODE.? Doesn't make much of a difference to me, I don't have a problem with them... but flashy yellow is flashy yellow. I swap off and decide to try to remove the logi frig from the field. This turns out to be a really bad idea... more on that later.

After some time and some dancing back and forth, reinforcements land on grid. A second Kirin has gone suspect in trying to keep the other kirin from going the way of the dodo. Fine, the situation has escalated to the point of not being winnable at this point, so I do the wiggles I can manage to try to break out of scram range. Afterburner fit helps, but slow ass ship doesn't. A basilisk is added to the mix.

The kirin that had the engagement with me reships into a Gila and things get a little rapey after that.
I distinctly remember a sudden prolapse and after that things get a little blurry, except I'm in a pod and warping my now somewhat bloody backside to the nearest celestial.

A 'gf' in local and a few bounces later found me in station. Honestly, I was feeling a little giddy about it all that point; pretty much an entire fairly well organized gang was brought in to drop the hammer on my little T3 destroyer and it was executed quite well.

The appropriate kudos were given. Small amounts of trash was talked. I was told to 'calm down, miner' which really made my day to be honest. You couldn't force me to mine ever again at gunpoint, but that's a whole different issue.
I think they might have mistaken my levity for butthurt.

Ultimately, this was of course my own fault. My hardon for smiting clouded my judgement and I failed to recognize the trap for what it was before stepping into it.
Still, it was a fun morning.

Now to get a few facts straight.

1. That #bb-fc Slack channel was used for a whole lot more than just FCs and 2/3rd of the people in there aren't even FCs. I stepped down as BB FC just a week prior to this because I recognized that I can't nor want to run any BB fleets anyway due to not having the time for that.

2. It wasn't so much bullying people as voicing my opinion and then getting repeatedly called names for it, which I ignored at first, but eventually responded to after it kept going on.

3. That part with me not wanting to open a bridge when there's a Nyx tackled... I opened 6 bridges (gaps between bridges excluded, that's 2 minutes of an open bridge), then no friendly (fueltrucks excluded) was in local anymore so I mjd'd off the wormhole and cloaked up. A few minutes later people show up that were afk in a hotdrop fleet and wanted a bridge. Me being way off the wormhole, of course I objected and was drawn into a shouting argument with M, the FC at the time.
Later on I made my point very clear about babysitting AFKers and was literally told "the way you reacted was well out of line and you'll never take on any remotely important role at all anymore in any of my fleets ever"

4. That part about me hardly being active in BB fleets is true. What wasn't considered, however, is how much behind-the-scenes work I did for BB, despite being busy in real life.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.
