Is there an easier way to set a route back to one's home system?

Currently I go into my assests window and set it from there. Which sometimes means scroling through many systems first to find my home system. Depening on how far away I am (I sort by jumps and my home system is in the middle of the alphabet).

Perhaps there is an easier way. Though if not, I would like to see a 'HOME' button (yes the dreaded 'easy button' the bitter vets hate), in the drop down menu of the Route (in the upper left corner of the screen).

Put it right next to the Search button, plenty of room there. And when you click it, it sets your route back to your home system.

make a bookmark, put it in a folder with a period in the front of the name so it's always at the very top of your list of bookmark folders. problem solved.

You can set it as a bookmark. I don't find that easier, but you can name them, and set bookmarks that your whole Corp can see.

I do exactly the same thing you do, but I tend to keep my assets consolidated in a few stations. I use Iteron V's to hold my ship fittings and stuff, which keeps things neat in the cargo bay and makes moving to a new home when I want a change of scenery easy. Training trading so you can sell off stuff from a distance is useful in keeping things neat too.

assets tab,
anywhere you have anything is listed there,
i like to keep it sorted by number of jumps, right click-set desto

Create your own corporation, set your home as the home of the corp, use attributes tab in corp window.

You can also drag a folder from P&P to create a separate window if P&P is too large for your interface setup

Hmmm. I actually didn't know you could do this. Thanks Loyd.

Sure but credit actually goes to Ralph, pretty sure he is the one that pointed it out in a different thread a while back..

Shhh, we can't give Ralph credit for anything. It'll go straight to his head and make him even more insufferably smug. P

1. Thanks Ralph you are a smart, powerful and handsome man
2. The way home when popping into k-space is nice to have (home not actually being home, but is the system where you go from icky k-space back into happy happy j-space). We have a habit of linking the system in corp chat (which doesn't get used that often, so it doesn't scroll off into the abyss.

Jump from WH into null (or whatever)
drag and drop system into chat and follow with 'the way home'

then you just tab to that unused chat channel and r-click and set destination.
