The process of creating a new toon based off of Skill injectors

I'm just coming back into the game so I want to make sure I understand the mechanics here. I want to create a new toon, Mary Jane, and use all the SPs based off of John Smith.

-In order to do this, I buy a bunch of skill extractors (currently 250M Isk each for each 400K SP)
-Extract all the SPs into these skill injectors.
-Contract the injectors to the new toon
-New toon will inject the SP.

Correct?

Do you think Skill extractors will come down in price or have we stabilized?

Remember that there is a limit to how much skill can be extracted. At a certain point, you can't drain your pilot anymore.

In addition, certain skills cannot be drained. Cybernetics, infomorph psychology, and the PI command center skill fall in this latter category.

Don't forget diminishing returns.

You can't extract John Smith below 5m SP, so if your plan is to biomass John Smith at the end, you will lose AT LEAST 5m SP in the process. Additionally, once Mary Jane hits 5m SP, each injector will only inject 400,000 and not 500,000 SP (though it will still take 500,000 SP to make), so from 5m to 50m SP Mary Jane is only getting 80% of John Smith's SP. It gets worse after that (60% from 50m to 80m, and only 30% after that).

The PI skills can be drained, so long as you have no planetary colonies setup.

It's 5m SP - not sure where this 5.5 number is coming from, altho keep seeing it being mentioned. Source (and have tested ingame, you can extract below 5.5).

You can extract a character down to 5M SP.

It requires 5.5M SP to activate the last extractor of course, but it will let you extract down to precisely 5M.
