2 fit on a ship, and was only pointed by a single enemy, completely locked. Can anyone explain this to me?

Depends if they had a a heavy dictor which has infinite point or they had more scrams fitted

Maybe your opponent had multiple warp scramblers/disruptors on you? (note: a scram and a disruptor will appear as separate icons on your hud... but multiple ones of the same type will not (you have to hovor your mouse iver the icon))

Were you against a Heavy Interdictor? Their scripted Warp Disruption Field Generator has "infinite" stremgth and ignores any Warp Core Stabs.

Were you in a bubble? Same as a scripted Warp Disruption Field Generator. They ignore Warp Core Stabs.

1 WCS gives you 1 level of protection

1 disruptor takes 1 level of protection from you
1 scrambler takes 2 levels of protection from you

if your protection level is 0 or above then you can warp. Else - you are 'pointed'

1 ship can fit several disruptor/scramblers

Makes sense?

They're often called "points" or "you're pointed" because the warp jamming mechanic is based on points. Each warp core stab adds 1 point of stability to you, and various disruptors, scramblers, etc. add 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, or for certain ships, infinite points of jamming.

So yeah, a single ship can install multiple scram/disruptors, or of higher quality (officer), or certain ships have "infinite" strength (points).

Yup heavy dictors are quite good fun especially if you
catch a ship with a full rack of stabs on the lows

And there like omg how did that happen rabble rabble.

Only ships that can get past them are fast ones that warp before there locked

Ones that can hit mwd and speed out of the point

Ships that can blow the Onyx apart.

Ones that can jam the hell out of them Big smile

Oh and last but not least if your in a war a scout helps like alot or just dont risk it

FYI: HIC infipoints now scram, shutting down MWDs and MJDs.

Yup, you were infini pointed. HICs such as the Onyx are the only ones that can do that with the trade off being that they can't receive remote assistance while they're doing it.

I know this isn't the correct answer, but some scrams such as the Shadow Serpentis Scrambler actually have 3 points.

All faction scrams have 3 points now ... and there are also new Navy frigs with bonus to scram strength, and the HICs with infinity scrams. Every serious gatecamp has one. You get caught? You are dead! Hence, don't get pointed in the first place. Blink
