'WWB' backgrounds incorrect

Hopefully that's the way this is moving. Maybe even event-related backgrounds too. They haven't changed much since incarna.

Sure, nobody wants to play along and call the other side the imperium, in part because they don't like it (for various reasons), and that's fine. It's part of the war. But considering that the MBC didn't even have an agreed upon nomenclature until a week ago(?), it is very odd that CCP would be so selective in choosing the goon logo. If they followed the same line of thinking on the other side, it would have made more sense to pick one or two of the major opposers to base their background on. And of course there is the matter that CCP chose to base both of its logos on the viewpoints of one side. Rather than letting each side have input on their own or the other. Seems like they only added the goon background as an afterthought.

And seeing as they made their own MBC logo to use, it's not a stretch to make their own for the opposing side.


It would make sense, but IWI is only a catalyst, it's an excuse, not the reason everyone is in this war. The reason everyone is jumping on board is because goons and by extension the CFC has been pissing one group of people off consistently for the past 5 years so don't be so surprised when the whole galaxy wants you dead and if they make a penny doing it all the better.

Ok, so what does that have to do with backgrounds? Goons would be the same type of catalyst that IWI or PH/TISHU are in terms of this war. If anything, they should have made the Imperium background some sort of monkey.

You don't need to tell why everyone is here, I could honestly care less. But a bee-themed logo doesn't exactly follow the same line of thinking as the badger does.

MBC has no single alliance at it's core holding the others up. Every alliance in MBC is its own entity. Remove any alliance and the MBC still exists.


Imperium is centered and completely structured around Goonswarm. Remove Goonswarm and the Imperium doesn't exist.


Outside of that structural difference, there is the already mentioned very real potential legal crap that using the Imperium logo itself could lead to.... because ya know some people are like that.

It might have been, if you didn't fold like a deck of cards and cede all your space overnight. You literally couldn't have put up less of a fight. You guys have kicked up more **** about the name of the war and a backdrop than you have fighting.


Furthermore, the war is on goons, you just happen to be the worthless meatshields (their view of you, not mine) they are hiding behind so it makes perfect sense as an icon. But good news, goons think you're all trash anyway and are letting you bleed out to fold you in. But you don't need to just take my word for it. Poor FCON, get some help and get out.



I would suggest less worry about a backdrop and more questions asked of your leadership why they allow themselves to be whipped like this.

Ehhhh...........


Guess that's a perspective thing. Without doubt the War is on something with goons(or members thereof) at its heart, but not specifically on Goons.

I like the new background. You know why? Because the CFC hen is ripped apart by a Hannibal march road (or in more colloquial terms: roadkill). It's very suitable for the state of your coalition, so relish the new background while it has any significance. Big smile
