You have blown my mind. I had no idea the contracts system worked that way. I was looking for the very item you mentioned yesterday; Republic Fleet Gyrostabilisers, and thought "120M? No wai, that's as much as the ship itself" and just forgot about it. I sorted by price, but the cheapest one was still 120M. It sounds like what you're saying is it was only the cheapest item from the first page. Which is dumb.

But I think you would have gotten a lot less negative responses if you hadn't jumped to the rather baffling conclusion that everybody using this ploy is an RMTer. You don't have to be an RMTer to like isk, you just have to play EVE Online.

I have noticed that the filters and sorts don't work correctly and I have seen people exploiting this weakness in the system.
I hope it does get fixed.

Those with the coordinated capital to exploit a weakness in MMOs are generally backed by a real money investment, which is their start up capital, then they go onto RMT to recoup and make a profit.

Bots can be found with heuristic programs based off how they do not socialise and how their movements are so precise.

RMT can be found and investigated by the same ways that players find them.

What you talking about? Filters always work fine for me.

Also are people really that dense to not realise you can sort by price?

You sure you're not having a flashback from 2008?

Sort by price then keep going through the pages, you will see cheap ones and high ones and they will keep fluctuating across the prices of the first few pages.

They are not sorted correctly.

All I will say on this matter is that I have never RMTed any isk in any form and that CCP are welcome to view my records. I have kept records of my transactions to more efficiently run the business and I check out.

You either employ a cost/benefit ratio, or you don't. If you don't, who cares? Blow your wad on one item. Blow it on a hundred. The simple form of this "scam" is to put a civilian miner up for sale in a beginner station for 12 million, raking in those who pick from the top of the unsorted list - sorted lowest to highest. Run with it from there.

Let us know when a real problem arises.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

so people are scamming contracts and doing quick sales and people are buying up bulk amounts of faction mods to resell at a higher price?

so how does this relate to RMT? sounds like a normal day in EvE Online.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

Problem is that there are *two* ways to sort by prices. The first (and correct) method is to use the 'Sort Pages By' dropdown list in the upper right corner and select 'Price (Lowest First)'. The second method is to click the Price column header in the grid, which only sorts the prices listed on the current page.

Since contracts are/were supposed to be mainly auctions, it makes sense to have the 'Sort Pages By' dropdown default to 'Date Created (Oldest First)' in order to place find expiring auctions.

You can see the chicanery with 'Republic Fleet 10MN Afterburner' contracts. If you use the dropdown to sort by price, the ABs go for 78M in Jita. However, if you left the 'Sort Pages By' on 'Date Created (Oldest First)', it looks like ABs go for 95M isk in Jita. Clicking the 'Price' column header doesn't help. (A 'Priests of Hermes' has filled the entire contract page.)

If you page through the AB contracts, you'll see an 85M page full of contracts by "Indestruction" up to a page of 130M contracts by "Nyan Cats".

The solution would be to make the "Sort Pages By" drop down a bit more prominent for the less observant. Maybe add some color to it, and place it over the Contract or Price column?
