Suggestion: Radial Menu additions/modification

Note: Inconsistencies on what has radial menu functionality, as well as placement of radial menu "buttons"


Some ideas for additional radial menu options, as well as some suggestion for "button" rearrangements (mostly the "save location" option) so that they are always in the same general location on the radial menu no matter what kind of object you're radial menu'ing.

1) RADIAL MENU use on results in the (New) PROBE SCANNER WINDOW. Currently doesn't exist.

2) RADIAL MENU on BOOKMARKS in the People & Places Window: More "buttons." Specifically; edit location, remove location, track, and add waypoint.

3) RADIAL MENU on my own ship: Switch the positions of TRACK and SAVE LOCATION for continuity with "button" placement on other radial menuable objects.

4) RADIAL MENU on BOOKMARKS IN SPACE: Addition of TRACK and REMOVE LOCATION "buttons." EDIT LOCATION "button" moved to the NORTH EAST box for continuity with placement on other radial menuable objects.

5) RADIAL MENU options on ANOM/SIG IN SPACE: SAVE LOCATION moved to NORTH EAST box (mmm, that continuity). Addition of TRACK option.

In the Skill Training Queue window it would be super handy to have SP totals beside each skill in the queue as an aggregate total. So you dont have to try applying the injector before knowing exactly how far itll travel through your list.

Perhaps even an injector value for your current SP class. What 500K would do visually if you are in the 500K category and so on and so forth.

Basically the same thing as the Evemon "Est. SP" tab really. Cheers.

  • Suggestion: Make ships not auto-align to the central plane

    When you align to a target that is not in the same plane as you (as determined by the tactical overview), if you stop your ship, you gradually tilt back to the central horizontal plane.

    Its not huge mechanically, although it does add a short align time to warps from rest. But as a physics student, its incredibilly anoying! Especially when everything else is so close to the physics.

    Fleet commander tools

    Disband fleet option in the fleet drop down. Just drops everyone from fleet. Would be faster if you need to switch fleets or if fleet is over etc.

    New Eden Store - Ability to filter out owned skins and have them marked in a corner (top right for example). Also, filters for sales, it's a pita to navigate to find what's on sale.

    When renaming a ship in space the button to do so is called: 'Set Name', when doing the same while in station the button is named: 'Change Name'.
    Because it does the same thing regardless of environment it should have the same name.

    Suggestion: Add full EFT block compatibility to multibuy clipboard import

    Notes: Right now, multibuy clipboard import chokes on the [Ship, Fit_Name] part at the start of an EFT block, despite supporting the rest of the syntax (even when claiming not to, i.e, "Veldspar x200" works, while the in-game tooptip implies that the 'x' before the quantity would break it). It shouldn't be too hard to add support to pull the hull type out, and hopefully clarify the supported formats as well.

    Edit: It also doesnt support loaded charges (i.e "Heavy Capacitor Booster II, Navy Cap Booster 800"), which I think should just ignore everything after the comma.

    Edit2: Also maybe let ctrl-v with multibuy selected work instead of having to click two buttons

    I know this is likely a long shot but here goes.

    Modification of the drop down menus by players to remove or move them (up or down on the same menu) around just like hotkeys.

    I realize that the standard "bridge not jump" has become a HUGE success in the derping dept and therefore this might be a moot issue due to the desire to create such oops functionality into the game design. Would be interesting to see is all.

    Market UI seriously needs some love. I'm being non-specific because the market UI is generally bad and poorly conceived imo.

    Suggestion: Marquee select should only lock things in your overview
    Note: I like the idea of the marquee selector but it should be obvious that I don't want to lock EVERYTHING under the box - just the items in my overview. I'm not interested in locking asteroids, drones, large collideable objects and fleetmates if I'm on my PVP tab!

    Suggestion: Compact mode for fitting window
    keywords: fitting

    Add a toggle to the fitting window which reduces it to the smallest possible size, removing the ship render and most of the stats, so that it can easily fit on screen alongside all the other windows we have open :)

    Suggestion: Make skill injectors impossible to activate remotely

    Keywords: player services, skill injectors

    Notes: Right now, injectors follow plex exception - but while plex is account specific (and remote activation is fine, as any alt character / jump clone stationed in market hub can safely activate it either way giving benefit to the whole container account), injectors are specific to one character only (in the same way as extractors are) and their remote activation makes no sense whatsoever; on top of that it hurts player driven content (hauling)

    Suggestion: Ability to "lock" SENSOR OVERLAY pop-up on or off.

    Keywords: HUD, UI, Sensor Overlay

    Note: Having the sensor overlay pop up when mousing over the HUD is.. annoying when you aren't intending to edit your Sensor Overlay settings.

    My suggestion would be to have a "Lock Sensor Overlay" check box in the HUD options window (where we choose to display passive modules, empty slots etc).

    Suggestion: Provide a fold in the fitting window with the same module bar as in space to drag and drop modules to the desired keys, also with the group all button there.

    Repackaging and repair interface in stations.

    An automatic option to repair said module when one tries to repackage it as a popup if it is damaged instead of having to go through the repackage process and THEN open the repair tool and THEN back to repackaging again. The entire process is cumbersome and could be streamlined into one option imo.

    Have a Repair & Repackage option in the drop down as well or just whenever someone repackages and an item is damaged you get a pop up of the repair tool for those items in the list with options; Repair and repackage all, Repair none and repackage the rest, or a selectable interface for which modules to repair and when hitting accept it simply repackages what has been selected.

    Either way a streamlining of that repackage, repair, repackage process would be neat. After battles a lot of loot is burned out and you have to repair AND repackage anyway if you want to use or sell it on market again anyway so to make it an all in one does make a lot of sense. Kinda like the buy all/sell all type interface.

    Suggestion: Shortened pilot list setting for local with pilot grouping.
    Keywords: ui, chat, local
    Note: When this setting is turned on, instead of displaying all pilots in the system in a single list, the local displays only hostiles/neutrals and adds "+50 friendlies", "+100 corp pilots", "+50 fleet members" to the top or bottom of the local list.

    Suggestion: Add the amount of pilots that jumped into or out of the system in the last 15-30 seconds in parenthesis after the pilot count in local and make it blink a couple of times. "100 (+10)" or "50 (-5)", for example.

    Note: So when you have a spike in local, instead of doing arithmetics and trying to remember what was the previous number you can clearly see the number of pilots that have just jumped in.

    When docked, make dubble click on ship not only open the ship inventory, but the full station inventory just like the Neocom menu button.
