I've lost all desire to play Eve, what do I do?

Sigh, this game is soo dead to me now that I no longer have the desire to update any of my market orders anymore or do any more exploration since isk has become so cheap and easy to acquire now from selling unwanted SP. Other than PVP, is there really any point to playing this game now??

Take a break. Save your stuff, take some time off, come back and see if it's still for you, if not get rid of everything and close the account.

I've met many that simply needed to get away from it for a while to get a new spark.

If you play for ISK you are doing it wrong. This is a game, play for fun.
If you are bored and dont have fun move on to other games.

Ty so much for this advice, I was about to start biomassing all my chars and go play Diablo 3. But I still have 4 months of playtime still left over so I'll do just this.

Excellent point, but CCP just killed a very important element in this game that contributed to me having fun in this game which was seeking the wealth in uncharted territories. And now all you have to do is sell your own SP for isk which is just plain stupid to begin with and sigh.... why did CCP ever do such a thing to this game.

Anyways I'm gonna take a break like Chribba suggested and if I still feel the same way 2 months from now then I know this is the end of Eve for me.

Oh my, yet another in a long line of "they're dumbing down the game and making it so much easier than back when I started when I had to walk to school in the snow uphill both ways" anti-SP trading threads...

Removing unwanted SP you can do only once ... further SP sold just makes your account F2P, so you still need ISK to burn. But agreed, EvE is more about spending ISK on fun activities.

Go play XCOM 2 for a month or two. On Commander Ironman.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

What Chribba said. Take a break. Play something else. If you never again feel the itch, good for you. If you feel it (and you WILL), you will have all your assets ready to play again.

^ good advice ^

I haven't logged in for months (on too much of a roll getting RL stuff done to get back into the game) but the long skill ques keep me subbing and someday I shall do more than shitpoast in the forums.

Eve been around for a long time, and it's not going anywhere. Can't wait to come back myself someday.

Keep in mind, even if an account elapses in its payment method (run out of game time or stop paying for account without PLEX'ing it), all the relevant data stays on CCP's database permanently. I have an old account that's been inactive since 2011-2012 time frame and it's still there according to the account manager website. I could should I have need to reactivate that account and all characters on it would be right where I left them. Taking a break, even a long one, does not necessarily require biomassing or closing accounts. I'm sure CCP won't mind, unless I'm wrong. You could just snag a PLEX now/later and just resub at a later date when you're ready to come back -- account manager allows you to reactivate an old account for a 4-hour grace period to PLEX defunct accounts by using PLEX in game (just don't abuse it).

In any case, what ever you end up deciding to do now, fly safe and go nuts, mate.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

The problem I have isn't so much that EVE has gotten boring - I have no problem being a mindless drone ratting for ISK. I play EVE to talk with people.

The thing turning me off from EVE right now is that I have lost most of my faith in CCP. It just feels like every good change is countered by some other means.

I at least have other games to play D3, SC2, Rebal Galaxy, Planetbase and tones of other stuff i own and never really play.
So I am taking a slow down in playing EVE (4-5 hours a week vs 20+)

Even cowgirls get the blues.

As long as the tale of the hunt is told by the hunter, and not the lion, it will favor the hunter.
