I was using Fiddler to watch the requests to CREST over the wire. And it seems like CREST just drops the occasional request at random. Is it possible to add some retry/recovery logic to Evernus to work around the unreliable service? I was thinking of grabbing the source and trying to add this in, just trying to understand if that even makes sense or worth the effort.

No worries, eve-central import is in progress. Switching CREST to public effectively killed it, which is a shame. First we didn't get the interface we really needed, now this. What a waste...

That's great to hear. It used to work very well a couple of months ago. I miss those days. Here's hoping that switching to eve-central will get Evernus back to that level.

That makes sense and if you would like to play with it, it would be awesome. My time is extremely limited lately, hence the slowed development pace. Right now getting eve-central to work is my top priority.

Hey m8,

thanks for the tool and the work you put in it. I really like using it, but there's just one thing bothering me. The broker fee. Is it possible to adjust it to your skill level and therefor your effective fee? It's always at 0,95% which isn't correct for my character (should be 0,59%). Therefore the margin tool gives me the wrong result or am I missing something here? Shocked

You can set your skills on the character tab.

Hey,
thanks for the advice, but that should be up to date, I just checked. My ingame brokers fee is now 0,56% (at jita 4 caldari assembly plant). When I adjust the standing I have to them in Evernus (which is 9,71 ingame) I still get the wrong brokers fee. Evernus shows me 0,34% instead of 0,56%. As a data source I also used the mentioned station.

I need to check this. The formula for computing broker's fee seems to be ok. Can you tell me your faction and corp standings, and broker relations skill level?

BTW. If anyone who compiles Evernus from source wants to try Eve-Central import - it's been pushed to the repo. Binaries will be available later.

Hey.

My broker relations level is 2 at the moment.

You can find my standings in the links:

The EVE screenshots are pretty pixelated What?. If you can't read them just let me know wich ones you need for Jita IV Navy Assembly Plant. THx 4 the work.

Your broker's fee should be 0.5097879033% (manually calculated) and Evernus shows 0,51%, so everything should be ok.

Hey,

sorry to bother you again, but then something has to be wrong on my end.

In EVE itself i have 0,56% Broker fee (screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/3ljsutx3f/46dc1ee4/)

In Evernus it show me 0,34% (screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/48ipkctzf/1baaca71/)

The only source of the mistake can be in my character setup ni Evernus then. I've played around with my faction and corp standings to get the right result, but wasn't able to.

They currently look like this: http://postimg.org/image/4qn52ji4p/14399035/

Maybe there's my fault. Does the Corp Standing in this case mean Caldari Navy and faction standing the Caldari State? If so, they are correct.

I was wondering how did you manage to get that result with the exact same data as me. At least it fixed itselfSmile

That's strange. I don't recall any changes to the broker formula.

Can you try reinstalling now? Note if the installer is actually downloading the package.

Also what system are you on?
