Harvesting Implants and Shutting Down Gates

I've been thinking about this for awhile and have brought it to the attention of a few CCP pilots in game.

Make corpses reprocessible.
Make the skill give a 5% chance of pulling 1 implant out for a total of 25% when at level 5. It will make it to where offering corpses back could be a legitimate business. If someone has expensive implants they may pay a certain amount for the chance to retrieve 1 implant. It could keep expensive and limited edition corpses on the market. Put corpses on the market for the individuals that want a chance of getting implants out of them. Of course put an identifier on the corpse info stating that it contains a harvestable implant.

Shutting down gates.
This could be a game changer in nullsec. Say you have a hostile group in your system but you don't want them to run. Shut the gates down. Make it like the entosis module. It should take 5-10 minutes to shut the gate down but once it comes back online it cannot be tampered with for a set amount of time, say 48-72 hours. Here's the kicker. Since the gate is shutting down it goes into defensive mode which would mean that it attacks whatever ship is shutting it down. So now you need to keep something on it larger than a frigate or destroyer and no caps can do it, or maybe they can but it would increase the amount of time to shut it down.
This could be used for home defense, keeping hostile pilots in an area, or as an escape plan. If you are going to hit an area and know people are going to follow you have someone already on the gate shutting it down so that when your force comes through it shuts down and you are home free. The long wait after the shutdown would keep groups from keeping their systems permanently shut down.

Let me know what you guys think about this. I really want to see the corpses idea come into play eventually.

Or maybe allow gates to be shut down in lowsec as well since a lot of gate to gate PvP occurs there as well. Just make it take longer to shut it down and the amount of time to be able to shut it down again be longer as well.

Oh and if anyone is going to say that they'll see you coming and shut the gate down, well you'll just need better OPSEC. You'll need to work harder at keeping information limited to the select few. If the enemy catches wind of what you are planning to do then they'll stop you dead in your tracks. But hey, these are ideas I've been mulling around in my head. Improve on them.

Shutting down gates would lead to farming islands with no way in. The riches of null anom farming w/ better than HS security. Not going to happen.

Your "We can trap baddies and pvp them" is laughable.

Eh, not really trapping the baddies in. More like an extra tactic to that has multiple uses. And creating islands wouldn't be possible. For a short time yes but there would be a 2-3 day gap where the gates couldn't be shut down.

So given enough manpower and boredom/will to annoy others, a group could completely lock down a region for 48-72 hours by entossing every single gates in it?

So assuming you own a big chunk of space you could just sequentially turn off gates in a series pipe.

OR

Switch between several dead end pockets the you sequentially isolate for farming.

Turning off gates would be used to avoid pvp. Eve does not need yet another mechanism to make null farming safe.

No no, the 48-72 hours would be the time that would have to pass before you could shut the gate down again. Maybe the actual time that a gate is on lockdown would only be 30 minutes to an hour. I agree with not wanting to bring more things in that would cause PvP to be avoided, this would just be a mechanism that would bring in a very short term tactic.

It would crash the implant market which we might as well not play with since they are already talking about attributes removal which will surely create waves in there.
