So I honestly don't know where to go or how to approach this problem

Once upon a time some maybe 6 more years ago. I had an email. That email had a account. and a character. I have sense thus forgotten the everything involving the email but for the account. I remember clearly the character. What might be recovery options? I was hoping for some options before i went to CCP, I mean if proof was needed the character was mine I have a screenshot of me in the pass looking over equipment i have.

That's really all the options there. If you can't recover the account, then as per the link at the end of the information, contact customer support.

If you watch the video, it will give you an indication of the sort of information that will help CCP if you need to create a support ticket.

The more information you can provide to locate your account, the more likely it will be that they can help.

if you still have a record of the payment method i.e.
old debet/visa/credit card or paypal account info they can backtrack it from that.

As the others have suggested, a support ticket is the way to go. Give as much information as you can, Anything helps.
