Battleclinic Alternatives?

I was recently having issues getting Battleclinic to work in the Eve browser (loadout filters and search) and was informed via the Help channel that Battleclinic is badly out of date and I should not use it. I haven't played the game in about 7 months and I never had any issues with the site back then.

What are some good alternatives to Battleclinic to look at ship loadouts? One of the features I really liked was being able to produce an in-game link to the loadout, do any of the alternatives have this feature as well?

Thanks in advance =)

Osmium would be a more recent site that has fits. However I recommend you learn to fit your own ships. Relying on random people means you follow their ignorant habits.

Eve uni's site is also decent for getting started.

There are many sites.

Example: You can look at kills of others on http://zkillboard.com to see what are commonly used.

Another is:

http://failheap-challenge.com/forumdisplay.php?15-Ship-Setup-Hangar

EVE University often has fittings for various ships. Example: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Tristan

Why did Blattleclinic become so out of date? The overall features, design and functionality seem vastly superior to Osmium and Eve Uni. Was Battleclinic an official CCP site? I ask because of the in-game loadout link, which both of the alternatives don't seem to have this feature.

AFAIK, that site has always been out of date. Never frequented it much, but the most recent "update" seemed to be the nail in the coffin.

To expand on Tau's zkill recommendation (more useful for PVP than PVE), search by ship, find the people who are successful (top 10 recent characters are listed on the right) using the ship then look at their losses.

Evidence the people with the initiative to create "third-party" web content have pretty much abandoned the field.
Instead of filling the breach, the ones who follow say, "Where can I go now?" Go to the website you built...uht oh...

There just isn't anything that can be said!
