Jump clones quick question for the more experienced peeps

Right my main has enough skillpoints coverage for what I'm training however last night I decided to go a flying in low sec lets say it didnt end well however rather than fly all the way back to hi sec I decided to blow up my pod (yes lazy I know) now I then decided using a clone I'd got to go incursioning (knowing I couldn't get back into my old clone for 22 odd hours) I wake up this morning to find I've lost t2 beams because I didn't have sufficient skill points room on my clone amongst other stuff no doubt that I haven't noticed.

Now is this my own stupid fault for assuming that my original clone would have all my training assigned to it and for not upgrading the jump clone I was in when I docked up and went to bed last night (logging off of EVE)

Will this situation reverse itself when I jump back to my old clone with the fancy implants?

Or am I a moron for not realising this and not upgrading my clone before it left the medical facility to go incursioning and therefore I deserve to lose thouse skill points?

Answers on a post card please....don't mind abuse if I've assumed something really stupid with clones as long as I learn from this mistake (9 days to retrain large energy turret 5 ftw)

you are a maroon
as soon as you killed your pod , your medical clone only covers 900k of points, so you need a new clone at that point

That's a bit nasty. Lucky it wasn't a lot more.
If you ask me I'd say I don't think you can get them back.

When you pod yourself or get podded you wake up in your medical clone and that clone has a limit of the number of SP it can hold. You need to upgrade your clone to not lose SP when you die. Every time. And when you accumulate more SP.

So I have one jump clone I'm in atm that is now upgraded to lamda (no implants in it at all though) and I've got the original clone that I can jump to in 7 hours will that clone (my clone I've had for months since I last got podded in a womrhole) still have lost all the skills?

You only have one medical clone and it covers all your jump clones. Until you die :)

Your mistake was to not check that your medical clone was up to speed before you podded yourself. Always keep it upgraded. Always.

Medical clone is not the same as a jump clone.

Medical clone is where u go to when u get podded. You have to upgrade it fromt he default 900K SP otherwise u lose SP when u next get podded.

JC just moves you around every 24 hours

But because I had left my medical clone to enter my jump clone within 24 hours when I podded myself for some reason it put me in my jump clone the medical clone is still showing up but isnt available for 5 and a bit hours is this a bug then?

Let me try and help.

When you clone jump, all your skill points right that second are moved with you into your jump clone (don't forget to restart that training queue!)

When you are podded, you wake up in your med clone at your home station, as seen on your character sheet.

When you wake up in your med clone, you need to buy a new clone which will keep all your skill points the next time you are podded.

To summarise: if podded, buy new clone.

YOur medical clone to protect you against podding.
You upgrade your clone to guarantee you don't lose any SP when you are podded.
Medical clone can only be created at a station with a medical facilty.
Because it is a fresh clone it will have NO implants
Faction plays no part in medical clones.

Jump Clones
Can be created at any station you or your corp have 8.0 standings with the corp that owns the station.
The station also needs to have a medical facility.
Jump clones can also be created in a Rorqual.
When these clones are created they are also fresh clones and have NO implants.

Jump clone usage.
Now that you have jump clone set up.
You can dock in ANY station and jump to your other clone.
All implants will be left with the body you are jumping from.
The body you left behind will show up as a jump clone once the transfer is complete.
Jump clones can only be used once every 24 hours.

When you die you will ALWAYS go to your medical clone.
Even if there is a jump clone in the same station as your medical clone.
