I have been playing Eve about one year now. This game is not new player friendly at all. The investment in skill training just for enough basics to be competitive is substantial. This forces you to pick some directions early on to maximize the return on time. So you choose a path and specific ships. Then along comes CCP in the name of "re-balancing" and nerfs things you spent a **** ton of time to skill up on. I dislike nerfing in any game. It's a horrible way to create balance. As a paying customer taking something away I legitimately paid for is wrong. its no different than buying a car and then the dealer comes back to remove options. If you want to create balance do it through augmentations. I am particularly PISSED about the Gila nerf. If it feels wrong it usually is!!!

And so it begins.... I guess the animal pics for gila tear threads are somewhat obvious.

Someone flies a Gila.

CCP never ever promises you things won't change. They do all the time and it's up to you to adapt or not. As for nerfing vs buffing, nerfing is better, it's stupid to buff everything around a broken tin rather than just fix the broken thing. That would be like saying "my tire is flat on my car, instead of fixing it I'm going to attach 8 new tires in different places onto that car".

Backward tech doesn't happen in RL. Why would it happen in a video game? "Today the US Navy decided to downgrade the flight capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. It's too OP for everyone else and just not fair." If you aren't sure you have it right don't release it. I have about three weeks of wasted training time x three toons. Time I will never get back.

Hover-jets. For VTOL capabilities.

That way it doesn't matter if the tire is flat; and the tire can stay flat, shrug.

EDIT: Counter-example, sir, which will completely invalidate your "never happens in RL" theorem: civilian Hummer.

In any case, things do get downgraded in RL due to cost or other considerations.

Also, it's a bit early since you've only had a few replies to this thread, but notice that you're the only one complaining about it?

Why do you identify so hard with the achievements you've made with the Gila?
Wh does it bother you so much that you are getting angry?

Is it, because it was easy to win with it and suddenly it's not ...
... which means suddenly you are a lesser man as well?

Well that is making the assumption you think the ship is broken. It works just fine. As far as the "just adapt" comment....well the Gila has been this was for a long time and I am guessing most people who encounter it have learned to adapt.

Total superiority is good in RL, it is not good in a game. Familiarize yourself with the term "power creep"

It is broken, anyone who knows what the hell is going on knows it is OP. Your tears are evidence it is OP.

It was OP and still is.

You wanting it more OP means you wanted to feel more badass,
which translates into you being not much outside a videogame where you choose a strong ship to feel good...

Correct me if I am wrong, please. :)
