No. All the Beta Characters were wiped and there were no names reserved. You could however train all three alts at the same time during the Beta. In the Beta you could actually transport ISK in your Cargo hold which resulted in duping exploits and although you retained skill points from say phases Medusa -> Gemini all the stacks of Cash I horded in my cargohold were removed.


ISK in the cargohold is awesome. Interesting about the Beta caracter wipe bit; although it is reasonable for them to do that. More practical on PC than console I'd imagine. I've never seen or heard of a console beta test though, so I've no idea really.

given they've already stated that scams regarding those are banable offence i think whoever was supposed to get them already got them :(

Also would be nice to know when the selection process actually starts or if it's already done.

The main reason I registered is because my nephew has a PS3 and lives about 20 miles away. Quite a few times he's asked me when is the Beta going to be released. He's actually very excited about it (much more than I am) and is very interested due to viewing the videos and the available little information about it.

I can understand the reasons for NDA, but I can't see any reason why CCP would not tell us that invites have already gone out, congrats to the lucky people etc. There is no harm in that. Then we can all stop posting about it!

pretty sure if the beta sign up processing had ended there wouldnt be a sign up page anymore. and ccp would of told us that beta sign up has ended.. glass is still half full

I really dont get it that you arent going to port it on PC as well. I mean, the argument of unfair advantage
for PC users doesn't even stand since PS3s can use keyboards and mouses as well and you said Dust will be compatible with them.

I mean, is it only for the "exclusive" tag that youre doing this or what?

Assuming PSN + members get first go myself. Holding out hope that, given the number of players in this thread who obviously also did not get in; which is by all appearances most of them, I may still have a chance.

I don't agree with all those saying the beta will be most likely for PS+ members. This is the beta, and CCP offered it to us EVE players using directly the account management. If they wanted to offer it for a semi commercial purpose to their future player base, they just would have adressed PS+ subbers directly. At the contrary I think they are trying to find a way to let us ALL have at least a chance to test it. I mean: the more of us who will try it, the more the feedbacks. And I don't think we will be billions and trillions btw. Probably they'll try to balance squads on a timezone base, but I'm just guessing.

Of course I'll be wrong, but the reason I'm bumping the topic here is that I just want to ask CCP some informations. It's not necessary to make a mistery upon somehting totally unknown and to retain basic informations where there is no information at all. Do you remember about your solemn promises about not to fall again into your "poor information syndrome"? Well this is (was) a good chance.

Is it too much to come here and tell us about your intentions? An idea about _when_, are we asking too much maybe?

I think your maybe missing the point of a closed beta.
Testing is always subject to non disclosure. The beta has been announced, we have had the opportunity to register interest, now we wait for further details and a possible invite
