Tranquility is all good.

A third party network issue with one of our providers knocked out connectivity for quite a few players of EVE and DUST connecting to Tranquility around 13:50 or so, but TQ is still online and perfectly healthy.

Players should be able to reconnect just fine now.

Does this mean we can petition ship losses that occurred during this time and that we have a chance to get them back since you recognized the problem?

I am asking, because we had an Incursion fleet running and the disconnect basically annihilated our merry, little fleet and we got owned by Sanshas. Oops

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I don't think you need their permission to do so, as long as you believe it to be a genuine reason. Loosing a boat due to out-of-game technical issues not of your doing or control is, I'd say, within reason. Send it in anyways, what's the worst that can happen?...them ignoring it or saying no?

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

quite likely the Telecity drop - Telecity Fail - caused chaos all over.

Started playing approximately 2hrs after DT, game was laggy and had a couple more of socket error (as of since parallax). And since some 20 minutes ago socket dropped again and I can't log back in game at all. (via launcher or the exe file nothing works - character page keep loading and all). What?

Any ETA when that Telecity network will be fixed?

This could be a different problem and you might keep trying or check your local network.

The disconnects today happened at 13:45 with around 10,000 players dropping. Then another at 14:45, again with 10,000 players dropping. And a small "aftershock" at 15:15 with only a smaller number of players (looked like 1,000-2,000 players).

You can see the two major drops in the offline statistics here: EVE Offline

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Yep, it happened to me too. It is definitely something in London, traced the drop to there.
TQ itself is fine, just took some time to reconnect.

Luckely my Prorator is still in one piece. And the cargo...Big smile

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

There has been an outage at a Telcity data centre in docklands, London. It happened at approx 2pm this afternoon and affected many services and people, knocking out 1000s of Company's VoIP systems and web services, even Amazon was affected by it.

The outage was UPS related, service has only recently (within the hour) been restored, but they have now scheduled emergency maintenance window between 1am and 3am GMT to swap out the faulty equipment, which is expected to be a 60 second drop out between at sometime during the maintenance window.

Been a pain in the ass for us at work all day, guessing it's related.
