Thanks a lot for your very pleasing program; I always like to start it up because it is so beautifully designed.

There is only one thing that I would like you to add if possible, and that is a tab for notes (description) like in EFT. It is the one feature that makes me keep EFT, but I would prefer to change completely over to Pyfa.

Cheers

I get the following error in Linux Mint 17.2 with the 1.16.1 version:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "pyfa.py", line 104, in [module]
    import service.prefetch
  File "/home/devinnull/Downloads/pyfa/service/__init__.py", line 16, in [module]
    from service.pycrest import EVE
  File "/home/devinnull/Downloads/pyfa/service/pycrest/__init__.py", line 13, in [module]
    from .eve import EVE
  File "/home/devinnull/Downloads/pyfa/service/pycrest/eve.py", line 11, in [module]
    from weak_ciphers import WeakCiphersAdapter
  File "/home/devinnull/Downloads/pyfa/service/pycrest/weak_ciphers.py", line 20, in [module]
    from urllib3.util import ssl_
ImportError: cannot import name ssl_

Also, I have to run it with the -w option, if I do not, then I get an error that I do not have wx Python 2.8 or 3.0 installed, when in fact I do have 2.8 installed.

Version 1.15 continues to work flawlessly on my system, but I cannot get the current version to run with the above quoted error in the terminal.

Thanks!

PS I had to change the < and > to [ and ] in the above post to avoid the HTML filters...

Hey there, love the program.

I did however find a bug and I wasnt sure how to go about reporting it.

When you are fitting a legion and you use the cov ops subsytem, The fitting tool does not inherit the "-100% to cpu cost of cov ops cloak" from the subsystem.

Spent about an hour today wondering how I had 100 extra cpu when I fit up my cloaky legion.

Same behavior on Ubuntu 14.04 with all listed dependencies installed.

Covert Ops Level 5 is not applying correctly, it gives the same results as having it not learned or 0.

Is there any plan to be able to add implants to characters (EFT style) or at least be able to copy implant sets between ships easier?

I downloaded and started using the wx3 Mac version pya-1.16.1-parallax-1.0-mac-wx3.zip - running on a 2012 MPB with OS X El Capitan

First - let me thank the developers for an excellent tool !

Overall, the wx3 version seems stable and the commands are working. The bars in the graphics under resources and resistances (very) slowly calculate and move to their final point. I'm not sure if that's intended, and it's really not a big deal, but I though that I'd mention it.

Here are some of the tasks that I tested:

- Backup all fittings (pass)
- Export HTML (could not export the file until I moved the pyfa.app to the documents folder)
- Copy fitting from clip board (pass)
- Switching between characters shows different values under resources, resistances, etc (pass)
- All prior fittings existed and were accessible (pass)
- Graphs (I was able to add several ships and compare them - while changing around values, the graph updated - but it seemed like after I changed the values multiple times, the graph started returning unexpected results - the easy work around is to shut down the graph and start again)

As I keep using it, I'll et you know if I run into any other issues.

Above posted issue regarding pyfa on Mint/Ubuntu 14.04 has been resolved in the latest master.

Thanks pyfa devs!

Apparently I'm an idiot. I can't find where to download the latest Mac build. I find Github, but then I'm lost. Anyone got a spare clue?

I am noticing the same thing with my astero, so it looks like a common bug.

Which platform are you on? If Linux, do you have wxPython 2.8 or 3.0? If on OS X, are you using the regular build or the wx3 build?

The bug in question was fixed with 1.16.2. I did want to comment though on where to find bugs and report them: https://github.com/DarkFenX/Pyfa/issues

Love the program. Keep up the great work.

I have downloaded both the 1.16.2 Mac and the Mac wx3 versions, and the loading of the statistics on the right is still very slow. Its now happening on both Mac versions, when about a week ago, it was just on the 1.16 version, not the wx3 version

Running 10.11.1 on an iMac Core i7 3.5Ghz with 8Gb of Ram.

What is the "user data" folder I should keep when I delete everything and install the new one ?

I have two folders, "eos_old" and "mpl-data"

I have no idea what eos_old is, unless you created it. The user data folder is in your user profile (C:/Users/[name]/.pyfa/), which is away from the pyfa install directory (unless you run pyfa with the -r flag, in which case it's called "saveddata" in your install directory)

I did find the download on the releases page. It wasn't there before. Perhaps the page didn't fully load. Or I should lay off the LSD.Big smile

You might have not read my question in my previous post, so I will try again:

Is there a possibility to add notes to each fit like the "descriptions" in EFT or, if not, is it possible or planned to introduce such a feature, including maybe even the option to import the descriptions from EFT?

Thanks a lot for your answer!

It is possible, and actually wouldn't be too difficult to support. However, it is on the backburner for now as pyfa still has a few major issues with OS X that I want to spend time on. =)
