On the Mac client, in the new probe scanner map, I'm having various issues, listed in order:

- I can't seem to double click on objects (signatures, planets, etc) to center the map on them, the map seems to be always centered on the current location of the ship, this is a huge annoyance as it makes it difficult to position the probes on top of signatures that are far away from the current ship position (How this slipped through QA is beyond me :D)

- Related to the above point, it seems impossible to manually pan the map my holding right mouse button and dragging now. When releasing the mouse, the center of the map snaps back to the current location of the ship

Edit: The above points only seem to be an issue when 'Align with camera' is chosen, so perhaps that's OK.

- When grabbing any of the sides of the scan probe center cube, the reddish color is way too dim. Grabbing the top side of the box shows a much more bright red color - this makes it difficult to see if you are actually grabbing the side of the cube.

- Sometimes when hovering the mouse pointer on the scan probe center cube, one of the center scan probes end up being selected instead

- There is no way of disabling the dscan cone/sphere view when in the scanner map. This makes it more difficult to position scan probes since the dscan cone/sphere is the same color as the signature spheres. Either make it possible to easily toggle the dscan cone/sphere view, and/or make this a different color than the current red.

1. This might be occuring because you have "D-scan align to camera" selected, and the D-scan window open. Could you confirm if that is the case? If so, that is expected.
2. See above.
3. I've just read your middle edit :)
4. It is quite dim. Will log this along with other comments about coloration and such, for my trends.
5. I recommend removing "Probes" from the marker list in the top left of the map, unless you have a use case for seeing them. That's what I did at least.
6. We're testing a toggle right now, as it happens :)

This is an issue and will be fixed.

Unfortunately, I can hardly zoom into the map when scanning (via touchpad). On one laptop it works every now and then, but hardly and on the other not at all.

I looked for where I could change anything in order to be able to zoom in again, but without much luck so far.

I am in a WH and can hardly scan anymore... so it feels quite bah.

Have you tried holding both mouse buttons and dragging? How did you zoom before that we've now changed?

Probing (new UI): I have huge problems trying to use the "drag and move all probes by clicking one side of the cube" feature. This worked very well in the old UI and isnt working 70% of the time now. It is pretty important for fast probing, because using the arrows you can only change one axis at the same time. Clicking and dragging a side of the "probe center cube" enabled you to change two.

//Edit: Sides work well most of the time. The top of the cube (X and Y axis combined) is driving me crazy.

Location bookmarks are displayed on solar system map even if "Show locations in sensor overlay" option of folder with bookmarks in P&P window disabled. Not sure this is right.

The sensor overlay is a different tool. Location bookmarks (corp and personal) can be filtered in the Solar System map via the Markers menu in the top left corner of the map.

Adding to non-appearing probe control cube problem.

Probe controls (cube and arrows) do not appear when opening the map with probes launched. Posted as known problem already.

As per posted workaround, pressing SHIFT makes controls to appear (ALT works too, by the way).

BUT, the cube is non-responsive - I can't select any side of it and drag. I can select an arrow and drag, though. After this, cube becomes responsive too.

Interesting. I don't have this happening to me personally. Can I ask you to file a bug report (F12 menu in client) please?

2. Issue logged.
3. Pinning got fixed in today's update

Just out of interest (because I just answered a comment that brought this to mind) - do you find this to be the case consistently? Or do you find it more to happen when you first use a set of launched probes?

Prior I could use a ehm, pincer-movement (two fingers coming together). If I do that now, the scan probes go closer together.

Now I have to make a two-finger movement first spreading the fingers with lots of feeling (to get into the zoom-"menu", I guess) and then pince them together again. However, that does not work consistently, so it's a hassle. It may be that I could somewhere somehow change something that makes it workable again, alas...

It just should be the other way round. The usual two-fingers-coming-together for zooming and the more complex gesture (which I could not yet find out what the exact difference actually is) in order to spread or tighten the scan probes.

I have already logged a ticket for the following problem:

I have 3 accounts of which 2 have no issues and the 3rd I cannot log into due to the character selection screen not showing up. I did not have this problem until today when I tried to log in after maintenance 2015.11.04 the log shows the following:

I'm not reporting that my skill queue is behaving odd - just that the character selection screen tells me one thing, the in game queue something every different. imgur linky

I checked EVE Mon, and it's going with the same figure as the character selection screen - I guess there's an api problem?

Sorry. I tested it more and it seems I was wrong. It seems it is just that the same general problem with the cube side getting the focus, posted by many others. Arrows seem to be more responsive, that's why I got the impression.

Noooooo! Get used to the new new interface! The old old interface is going away in a future release!

So why can't you listen to the playerbase when they say one of your 'new features' is terrible and give up on it.

Very interesting! Do you know if this gesture is specific to Lenovo laptops? I have been hitherto unaware of it, but I don't often use laptops.

Because I have metrics to the contrary, with regard to this specific feature. I hope you check the devblog that goes out later today for more details on the conciliatory/inclusive approach we've taken in developing this feature.

Quick update post following team meeting.

So, after taking the Scanning points onboard, here are some changes we'll be working toward:

Make signature circles in Solar System Map (SSM) bigger
Make them highlight if probes are over them (more obviously)
One click to get to last custom formation
Show all remaining signatures in the SSM after you ignore one in the Probe Scanner interface
Add visual D-scan toggle to SSM window

And here are some defects we're going to try fixing:

Probe control box not always displaying
Probe scanner width settings not correctly retained
Signature list in Probe Scanning window snaps to top after each scan
Various issues with filters, particularly custom filters
General performance issues (keep those bug reports coming if you have performance issues - no multiple reports though from same computer please)
D-Scan Overview Filters overhang bounding box
Probe scanner interface not snappable to other windows
Structure and Scan results are displayed inconsistently.

Please note - this is not an exhaustive list! There are other issues that have been raised in this thread that we are researching more, or waiting to get more feedback on before committing to an action plan. For instance, there have been a lot of remarks about the scan progress lines, the color of the D-scan sphere, and such. These will be iterated on over time, so don't expect fast changes to them. The HUD showing through the Solar System map is something we'll have to put more time into investigating too - don't think that because it's missing from the above list that we've dismissed it or forgotten about it.

I hope these changes show you effectively that we are committed to iteration and we still want your constructive, well explained feedback!

At least yesterday (on November the 3rd after downtime) the Standard and Superior Sleeper Cache exploration sites were bugged.

More informations are written down HERE for Standard and HERE for Superior

In total i were able to find two Standard Sleeper Caches and BOTH were working (or not working to be correct) in exactly the same way.

Moreover my bugreport about that issue just did vanish from my listed tickets without any response today. None of my characters has any tickets listed at the moment, but i were able to review my ticket yesterday. So what is going on there? o_0
