Like it.

Do i think this is the best it could have been?
Nope

Suggestion.
1. When D scanning project a beam from the ship linked to the settings you have for the D scan.
2. When you open scan and you get the system map, instead of the beam moving around the ship when you span camera, move the system around the centre -> It confuses the hell out of me when I am trying to look at things that are not in the same plane.

I think when using the D-scan map, we should be able to right click an object and have the option to "focus camera".

Just how we can right click an anomaly to "align to", let us "focus camera" on said object to avoid this awkward beam centering thing I've got going on here.

Then create/allow a hotkey like Shift+Enter or CTRL + Enter to be able to scan FROM THE MAP without having to swap screens/reposition hands.

Its nothing short of spectacular. Considering I do enjoy manually hunting objects with d-scan, the projection cone and camera slave button are awesome.

+1 from me. Ignore the idiots who can't figure it out before they rant.

my only problem is that it has a bit of delay when you-re reducing or increasing the range .

Old d-scan you got information instant

New d-scan it has a 1 second delay

While this is not a major problem , its annoying to me personaly , cause 1 second may or may not save my ship from getting ganked

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

Normally, I prefer groping in the dark. I've gotten my hands on some interesting things that way...without getting slapped!

However, judging by most of these posts on this thread, I'd suggest you folks forego using D-Scan
or anything else more complicated than that.

There just isn't anything that can be said!
