This would really help get newer players the isk to afford the larger collaterals for good service.

I fully support this idea. As a builder, having to wait 24 hours for a shipment of materials when someone logs off with my contract, instead of leaving it to someone who can deliver quicker, costs me time and isk. Hopefully havig this incentive will prevent this.

As someone who frequently hauls or posts contracts for my industry materials, the time incentive would be a great way of cutting down time losses on continuous jobs while putting a bit of extra capital in the hands of quick, reliable couriers.

I think this is a really cool idea.

What I'd like to see is just another entry box on the reward/collateral/time screen with a checkbox next to it.

Check off the checkbox and it allows you to enter a "rush bonus" number of your choice that works just like the normal "reward" entry box. Add a dropdown box below that for 2,4,8,16,24,or 36 hours for simplicities sake.
I think to maintain consistency the contract actually needs to be completed in the specified time, not just accepted or in progress by that time.

This seems like an easy thing to implement, of course players should have some control though, no
limits to the amount of the bonus. Users of hisec hauling services might not care but for those of us
using 3rd party JF services might. This needs to be useable/applicable for all, not just a subset of
the playerbase.

Not to mention that obscenely high bonuses will rush eager haulers into the warm embrace of Uedama. \o/
It pays out on completion... right? :D

We've been wishing for this for a long time. Many missions pay a bonus for completion by a certain time, so why not courier contracts?

The Haulers Channel is a meeting place for independent couriers where contractors can arrange to have their goods moved and new haulers can learn the tricks of the trade.

This would be a great way to provide more granularity to courier contract periods without undue potential for abuse.

On the subject of courier contract improvements, a little thing that would greatly improve the courier contract system would be the ability to drag station links/bookmarks into the destination field of courier contracts.

I support this; the contract system has been fairly basic for a rather long time now. Adding some extra options and functions like this can greatly increase quality of life for people who use contracts on a daily basis.

Not a whole lot I can add that hasn't been said elsewhere so...

Good idea and relatively easy to implement with the systems already in place. I'd probably make hauling a hobby if it were added.

Wouldn't this box newer players out? I see JF pilots gobbling all these prompt bonus contracts up and making good on them. Newer or lower skilled players with hualers and conventional freighters that use actual gates and take on actual risk would be at a disadvantage.

This just seems like extra isk for JF pilots.

I'm not a hauler and I don't contract much (wh girl). Is the point of this change to take the bonus from player garanteed to CCP garanteed?

I'd actually prefer this to an NPC hauler service which has been tentatively mentioned a few times. Keep hauling a player based activity and allow a bit more customisation and it's a viable miniprofession that's been designed by players. If it puts players in space exchanging money for services and searching for optimal travel routes/dodging hunters it's possibly one of the more interesting income sources as a result.

makes sense - supported, and I think the time frame and size of reward should be up to the player making the contract

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.
