Petition - Contract time based rewards

Hi,

I like many others would like to see an option within the contract screen for bonus rewards, (similar to npc courier missions)
for people who go the extra mile and delivery quicker than the standard times currently on offer.

As a trader myself, waiting 24h for a trade shipment normally means a loss for myself.
now i understand the risks involved in hauling, but having an reward incentive for the haulers would serve a couple of main functions;

1. reduce the amount of contract hoarders as a whole, as delivering the item asap would be more beneficial to them,
2. remove the risk of not being paid the extra ISK, normally offered for such a rush service.

anyways, this is an official request from the owner of the largest hauler community in game.

yep. add to that a small malus system, to prevent said contract hoarding perhaps.

+ Completely agree, it's a big part of contracting with other players, it should be a part of the actual contract.

Haven't been doing courier missions for ages but in security ones the bonus reward available if you complete mission within a certain period of time. So what do you think in regard of this time limit after which one the bonus reward is no longer aplicable?
Should you set this up manualy and specify in contract or it's going to be set up by default and limited by 24 hours window?

not sure i quite follow what you are trying to say, but i'll do my best to answer.

imo min time for bonus rewards should include the range of the contract in question.

so for example lets say 5 min per jump minimum, this would mean the minimum selectable time for the bonus would be

Jita >> amarr (9 jumps) = 45 min minimum completion time
Jita >> rens (25 jumps) = 125 min (2 hours)

like i say this would be min, but a 5 min allowance imo seems reasonable allowing people to slow down near hot spots, and make up time in safer area's. while still allowing the haulers a chance at more profits, and the contracters quicker delivery times, if they are willing to pay a bit extra for it.

like i say these would min time allowances, with the option to allow more time above said limits, but never below this would stop the obvious abuse of such a system if it were in place. meaning that every bonus contract is actually attainable by the hauler.

hope this answers your question, if not please rephase the question

Yeah Smile that's about what i was thinking. If you just pick up a random number like you said 5 min, or the contract system should be set up up by some default number e.g. 1 hr.

So basically, range and time your best friends. If you deliver faster and farther you became richer Cool
